  1. Thank you all for taking the time to reply here, this is very informative, and I will be asking around the Local Hobby Shops soon about any contests, further more, I have a few builds coming up soon, I would like as many of you as possible give me your constructive critizisim on these builds of mine, it'll be a test so to speak, your input will tell me if I am ready to enter such contests, or if I need to build my skill more. Tommorow I will post a Picture of a 69 Chevy Nova body that I have just finished painting this evening, and you will tell me if the paint job is good enough or not. This would be a good start I think. Thanks again guys.
  2. I would like to say thanks, to Both krow, and gkulchock for you explainations here, I have found them both informative and refreshing, It has been awhile since I have done electonics, but I am sure that I can get right back into it . This is going to be interesting. Thanks again guys.
  3. Okay, Money is alittle tight at the moment but I would end up contacting you again when I want to make a sale. Thanks much appreciated.
  4. I looks really good for someone who has not been at it for a long time. Excellent job!

    69 Nova

Sweeet man! I just got me this kit a couple days ago. It's good to know that there are still builders out there for the Rat engined car .
  7. Yes they both have given a great explaination, I will be heeding the advice here, thanks guy's .
  8. Very soon I will be going down to a local Hobby Shop to ask about any model Shows or Contest's. Since I am here on the forum and since many of you here are experts in contest builds. I will ask my questions here. 1. What is considered to be Contest Build? 2. How does one Achieve a Contest Build? 3. How are Builds Judged? 4. Is there a Professional Standard That is needed for Contests? 5. How much does one usually spend in order to build a model up to Contest Specifications? If there is an advice topic about Contesting here then I will apologize in advance because I did not see it here, How ever I felt that since there are many Contest winners here this question would be better suited for those individuals. Thanks for looking.
  9. I think its great that you are sharing model work with your son, That's what I call being a real father . I have seen your son's build of the car and I think that he did an excellent job. Sharing your times together like this will be a life time of great memories, enjoy them while they last .
  10. I really like the Paint job! it really stands out .
  11. Wow! that's really Awesome, I think we have another growing builder .
  12. Best wishes for you all .
  13. That's one Sweet ride . Excellent Job! I hope to see more .
  14. Your the Boss, Boss . Excellent Job!
  15. I threw that thing away , I can't dig out .
  16. I have been reminded from another topic here on this forum. I would have liked to see Ray's Green Buick Riviera from the TV show Due South.
  17. I hope that there is a better kit out there some time soon. Due South is one of my favorite TV Show's, so I would make Ray's Green Buick Riviera as kind of a theme to the show's car. Which also now reminds me to place this in on another topic.
  18. Hey thanks for the Article, I have read it, I do understand the Diagram, as I have done electronics as a hobby at one time. When time and funds permit I am going to try the LED's this looks interesting. Now I have to decide which car to try it on .
  19. Wow! I like it! Excellent Job .
  20. Well never mind on that, I Ruined the body, I placed it in the oven to cure the paint, but I ended up having the heat alittle high, so now it is smushed, and I tried today to get another one at the Hobby Lobby, and they are out of these GTO's. So I got me a Chevy Nova instead. Thanks for the information though. Ohh and I still have the box and parts so if you are in need of any parts let me know.
  21. Ahh that would be great! Just so long as I can get an idea of the how to, the rest I can do on my own, I can not wait to see what you have done, this is gonna get interesting .
  22. What you have mentioned above here is probably the best way. But I suppose there are those rare times that finding what you are looking for is not in reach to you have to access a Hobby Site, or Auction site if you cannot find it anywhere else.
  23. Well I can see why a stronger policy for shipping items is in place, What I don't see is why a 21 day wait period! That is just rediculous! Its like their forcing peole to get tracking Numbers! Some people rely on the instant or close to instant payment, to pay for shipping! Maybe it would be best if there where to be competition to Evil Bay, I think they would let loose then.
  24. That is Strange , From what I understand you can input the weight of the package from their drop down menu and it should update the price for shipping that? There should also be a separate pop up to input the Weight if it is not on the drop down menu. Something may have changed since I have last sold anything, that's something I would have to look into.
