  1. started to foil the upper beltline and window trim, decided I didnt like it and peeled it off. if it was a 1:1 car I could paint the trim black, so thats what it will be here too.
  2. I like where this is going, I love those long low mid 60s GM cars! Maybe exhaust through that roll pan or a thin bumper to break up the back?
  3. Love the treatment of the headlights and grille!
  4. I guess I hadn't even noticed the tires were supposed to have white walls outta the box
  5. Thanks everyone
  6. Thanks guys, I started some of the engine detail. I need to go pick up some more white paint for the interior panels. Also debating doing the trim on the windows and belt line. I know it "should" be chrome, but I'm kinda liking it being black
  7. Man I wish I paid more attention to this build before I lowered mine, yours took more work, but was the smarter way to do it. Always next time though right? I think I stole the smaller carb outta my revell 64 impala kit, I'm sure it's not perfect for accuracy, but the size was right, and is pretty convincing under the air cleaner I'm using.
  8. they are from Modelhaus
  9. Nevermind, figured it out. Robbed the aircleaner from my 66 riv, and a parts box carb. I think its the right size and just enough "flash" Now onto the details....
  10. also started messing with the engine, I have this resin caddy air cleaner, but not sure if I like it yet..
  11. Door panels are in the purple pond for the third time now.... But I managed to get the seats close enough to be convincing in the car. Not perfect, but I think I'll take it.
  12. Thanks for the kind words everyone. Getting the chassis and Interior sorted...
  13. Its duplicolor "trim black" out of the spray can. its my go-to satin black, I like it so much I painted a whole 1:1 car with it! Replied!! thanks!
  14. Made a bit more progress.. still deciding about the motor. was planning on using the kit motor, but now I kinda want something a little more flashy... I think I have a cadillac air cleaner here, maybe I will see how that looks.
  15. Just a basic build to get the juices flowing again. Mostly out of the box, just a wheel and tire change so far, and lowering it. Going to be satin black with gloss black wheels. It's in primer right now, debating if I want to paint the roof a candy color or not. Just mocked up for now
  16. Awesome! Amazing work, really came together great!
  17. That looks really good! I think you nailed it.
  18. Love the color combo! I think that's the same stuff I used on my 32. All these olds builds have me itching to pick one up
  19. Couldn't have said it better myself (null)
  20. a off white interior was my second choice.. I have another hood I am going to play with too.
  21. That's not bare plastic, it's white primer. Was thinking red wheels and maybe red interior?
  22. Kinda not sure about this.. Think I went to far. Might go into the purple pond and start over.
