  1. I love the look, not even done with my 34, and you got me already wanting to build another.
  2. thanks guys, got the headlights installed tonight. Part of me wishes I left them off ( I like the look without them ) but they look good either way. no pics, will try and update again tomorrow
  3. the front is from a revell 32 kit, the rear is the lindburg, but I had to shorten the driveshaft and wishbone to fit the engine/ trans I chose
  4. Pegasus made wheels like that, if you can fit the 23" spacers in there you would be able to recreate that wheel quite well.
  5. Main chassis parts are drying, should have more to show tomorrow. I forgot what a pain in the rear the front suspension can be
  6. watching this one, I have always liked the newer caddy designs, but dismissed this kit because of how goofy it looked on the box. Might have to take a closer look now..
  7. I really like where this is headed, you have a good look going there
  8. Paint looks amazing, did I miss what kind of clear you use?
  9. I'll play.. First car, 03 pontiac Sunfire, most don't get it, but it was the first new car I bought, and with the blower and other toys its actually a fun ride appropriate to the earlier conversations in this post, my daily driver 09 pontiac g8 gxp and the old daily, that she took over (still good for bad weather and running to home depot) 09 hummer h3
  10. I have had success using low tack masking tape to remove adhesive residues, use the adhesive to counteract the adhesive
  11. you can also try to use small pieces of a rubber pencil eraser to keep the pins in ( think earring back ) Nice work on the leaf packs, they look great.
  12. thanks for the kind words guys, MikeMc, at least I know my color choice will look good This is the Lindburg 34 ford kit for those who asked. I do tend to go a little overboard I guess, this was a little more than I originally planned, but I think we can keep it "simple" Did a little work to the engine today, installed the intake and accessories, wired up the plug wires, and made a set of headers out of .080 rod and 1/8th inch tube.
  13. Hey guys, Was really into building in my mid teens (a good decade ago) and life steered me in a different direction for a while. Recently decided to pick it back up, and start with what was supposed to be a quick easy build, we will see if I can keep it that way. Quickly realized I would have to Z the frame to get a stance I liked Initial mock-up with full height cab, stock bed floor, and bob'd bed. Using a front axle from a Revell 32 Ford to get the stance lower in the front Mock-up after chopping the top, and raising the bed floor. Pulled a SBC from a revell 69 Nova, mounted with new mounts and a trans cross member. primer on the cab and bed, made a new smooth bed floor, and modified and installed the front visor and a recessed firewall. Wheels and tires are from the Revell 29 kit. You can also see a hint at the colors to come. Still have some minor finish work to do before paint, need to sort out the interior as well. That's all for now.
