  1. front window wont let the body rest in place and is hitting the dash *edit, got it fixed I think by shaving the dash. That was a little tedious since it was assembled and painted.
  2. Well I gave the window trim and beltline trim another shot, dcided I liked it this time. threw the windows in, and while they were drying I started assembly on the interior.
  3. thanks for the kind words, I'm still not 100% sure on that air cleaner, but I kinda like it for the options I have here. Since we brought it up, I thought it would be fun to share my workshop. It is a mess right now, Its in desperate need of a re organization.
  4. I'm pretty meticulous about keeping it clean in there. Have a few hobbies so it can get outta control quickly. It's a little messy for me at the moment if you would believe that. I find I spend more time organizing than building sometimes, however that lets me focus on my builds when I get going.
  5. making progress on the engine detail this morning.
  6. Wow, glad I stumbled on this thread... I never really gave the amt kits to much of a second look. But this thread has me looking for a few kits..
  7. Engine looks amazing!
  8. made a little more progress, decided to try making my own chassis instead of hacking up one of the many I have here. Just the front half done for now, going to let that set up really good before I work on mounting up the rear end.
  9. Love the mid 60s caddys wish I could find a few at a decent price
  10. Amazing build! I love the wheels
  11. Very nice
  12. Man I'm loving all these olds builds! This one is no different!
  13. Love the paint technique I think I'll have to try that myself.
  14. I like it, but I think it needs to be wider..
  15. Excellent build, thanks for sharing"
  16. Great start!
  17. Simply awesome I love the creativity
  18. Amazing work so far, the detail on this is top notch!
  19. Holes look much better after you went in from the back Cool build
  20. Took two days, but I read the whole thread start to finish. I'm in amazement... Wow
  21. honestly not sure... they were in the box with the olds, but I dont think thats where they came from. I feel like they are from the older pro street malibu? Id like to find something just as tall but a little skinnier honestly. doesnt look like much, but I got the real axle assembled and widened.
  22. So Ive had this Hot Rod mag for a while now, and the cars in it were right up my alley, this one kept sticking out at me and will be the loose inpiration for this build. I like the sedan, but felt I could do better... some time has passed and I forgot about it. then the other day, a 40% off coupon fell in my lap and I aquired a 41 chevy Pickup kit. Knowing I really only wanted the motor out of it for a different project, I felt conifdent throwing it in my stach of kits. then I remembered that magazine and the wheels started turning. In that same stash I also have a couple older Pro Stock kits missing some parts, but this olds kit had the parts I think I can use! Going to use the motor (probably the trans) and rear suspention/axle/wheelie bars from the prostock kit, some sort of solid beam front axle (probably a 32 ford kit) and make my own frame rails (ill asses that soon and probably decide for sure thats better than hacking the chevy kit) here is a quick mockup to see if i'm on the right track, using another parts box block and a set of 32 rails (maybe these can be cut to work?
