  1. "Hi, My Name is Shawn and I'm a Styrene addict." I just counted and I have 13 WIP's right now and ONLY 1 on the bench. Two of which are VERY long term projects. One I haven't worked on since '05 and the other I haven't worked on since Oct. '10. I'm a genuine procrastinator by nature.
  2. Virg, I'm glad you opened my peepers to this kit. There's one here at my local HL and I kept passing it by because the overall look of the truck itself wasn't appealing to me. But, NOW, just the decals and the surf board alone would be worth the price of the kit. lol I'm also sure that once I get the kit home and go through it more I will find that it is after all appealing to me and I will find a project hidden somewhere that this truck just can't wait to become.
  3. Are you wanting monster truck wheels & tires for this?
  4. It wasn't today exactly, but I was able to score a Polar Lights Donnie Allison '60 Torino Talladega still sealed. I;ve had others tell me that I got a stellar deal with what I was able to get it for. Now I can't wait to get it in the mail.
  5. That's defiantly a different take on the old binder wagon. I'm not a fan of that style of scoop, but I think it turned out pretty good otherwise. Keep up the good work.
  6. I love, love, love that Pepsi Challenger. That's gonna be a bass ass build up when it's finished.
  7. Pretty nice job. I may have to put one of these on my to do list. Keep up the good work.
  8. The turning radius on that thing would be monstrous. lol Is that a 300C, Maybach or Bentley?
  9. I REALLY dig this build. I have one of these someplace. I think now I need to find it and blow the dust off of it and put it in the project pile. Great build.
  10. Yeah, Casey, thanks. I saw those. The nose IS pretty square and the rear end would need to be redone, too. The tail lights run north & south, not east & west. BUT on the lighter side, I was setting here typing this out and looking at my references at the same time.... I don't think it would be that hard to do if I had a '65 Gto grille, and a pair of '72 Gto head lights for the front and who knows what for the rear end. I guess I'll have to figure it out when the time comes. I went to the Resin Motor Replica site and was not able to find the Can Am kit available.
  11. RMR as in Resin Motor Replicas?
  12. Thanks a lot. That brings the hope level up a notch or two. This link to a thread from here isn't boosting my confidence in Frontier Resin Design. Even if they are the only people who have what I'm looking for. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6130&st=0
  13. I'm looking for a '74 Le Mans or the closest thing I can find that I might be able to convert into something stock looking. I've not had a lot of luck with my search and I'm guessing it's probably a long shot. I would even consider a promo if someone might be able to steer me in the right direction. This is what I would like to end up building if any one can help me get the ball rolling.
  14. I commend all of the class winners for this years comp. I just hope to be able to build anything half as good as any of you trophy winners some day. I put my all into my projects and the judges pass me by like I'm a junior in an adult class.
  15. My 1st trip this year. Leaving tomorrow around 5:30p I guess. Can't wait. I can garuntee I won't be able to sleep all weekend.
  16. OK, thanks for the input. I guess I hadn't put enough thought into it.
  17. I have a couple of the AMT '67 Impala's and was curious as to if anyone makes a resin conversion kit of sorts or at least a convertible boot for that car or a car like that that might be able to be modded to work? I would appreciate any and all help. Thank you for reading.
  18. I am a Mopar guy at heart, but I LOVE this car. It's The Bomb. I have something similar going, but mine's on the back burner for now. I'll be watching this one for sure. Keep up the great work.
  19. Hey Mike, I've got my project started, too, but the triple black idea has gone so far out the window. The main color IS black, however, it's accented with Panther Pink. I would start a thread of my own, but I'm already to far into the build to post any kind of good progress pics. Keep up the good work on your project.
  20. I'd either do the '65 or the Ramcharger, but that's just me. I'm a sucker for jacked up 4x4's.
  21. Very nice inspiration. I have a version of this kit that I'm wanting to start up while I'm waiting on parts to come in for a contest build up I'm doing. I'm trying to talk myself into a Triple Black version to see if I can get it to look right. Keep up the great work. I'll be checking in on the progress as it goes along.
  22. Glad I didn't enter now. GREAT job. Keep up the good work.
  23. Sorry, so much for that there high school egimuhcashun.
  24. I was able to pick up an original 'glue bomb' of sorts at our show the beginning of last month for $30. I have big plans for this kit and am trying to get it finished for a trip to KC for the Slammers show coming up at the beginning of June this year. I've had to source out a vendor to make me a set of decals for it, as the originals got messed up after I cleared it. Other than that, it's been a blast to build. Chuck, where did you find the trans kit? I wouldn't m ind doing another one sometime if I could get my hands on some resin.
