  1. Where can we buy one and how much! Wait, I should know this one! oh yeah, here! LOL. Jody
  2. Fine example right there! Jody
  3. Actually the silver is easily acoplished too! Get some thin striping tape from the atou parts store. First lay down your top piece from front to back. Then take a section, place on glass and cut into thin strips. You can easily do this bu placeing two blades into your exacto knife! Then lay them down into evenly space diagonl lines. Lightly lay down your bottom piece from front to back and use you exacto to carefully cut the diagonal strips along the bottom piece. The take off your length of tape and remove the excess diagonal strip ends. Then place down a new strip front front to back on bottom. Mask off the rest of the car and paint your silver. Make sure to do light coats, not heavy ones as the heavier the coat, the more build up along the tape. I would love to see you accomplish this! Jody

  9. Well, I picked up a womens Womens road master today for free needing rims and a old sheffield free spirit looks like maybe late 60's? Today. I think I want to restore that one. Will need front forks and rime and tire and front gear. Everything else looks in good restorable condition. The fenders are rusty, but I can try to make due with them as a rat bike so to speek. Also the one investigator for a PD said they have almost 40 bikes and was looking for someplace to dump them too. I said I would love to take them. So he told me to expect a call in a couple of weeks! Jody
  10. Great stuff guys! I love the stories and pics! I had a old BMX that my dad got at Big wheel when they were closing for $10. I rode the dickens out of that thing! I had a stingray before that, but being younger then most yall I think, that was a dweeb bike! LOL. was so happy to get that thing. Yeah, the wheelie thing was easy for me. Esp. when I got older and into motorcycles! LOL. Rode one the length of the main hallway in front of the principals office. Yes, you read that right, in side the school! LOL. The rest of the time going to school, they never could get the burn out patch out of that white floor! HEHEHE! When I was about twelve, thats when I got my first mountain bike. Thats when I went from a three mile ride to much much more! LOL. As a young adult, that bike had gone with me and I had gone so far as 30 miles on it for fun! Sure miss them days! Being DR. D tells me I have to exercise, its time to get back to it! Jody

  19. By the way, I have a very nice NIB Kustom Kolor single action air brush, that you can hook up to a propelent system. I can make ya a deal on it since I need some money for my other hobby and current 1:1 project, I can sell it to ya for $10 plus shipping. Thanks. Jody
  20. If any one had a extra one of those in mint shape, I would love to cast it! Jody
  21. I think most people who own a airbrush would suggest one! I find it much better. Do you need one to do a awesome model. Heck no! Do you need one to do future, no. You have to remember this stuff is make to MOP on and dry to a nice shine! You dont even need to buff it! just put on a couple of layers! LOL. Very easy to use. Just brush on with a bigger brush or a sponge brush. I do suggest one coat over the color, then one over the decals! With waiting, that has never failed me yet. Thanks. Jody
  22. Fletch, do I have to email ya since we agreed with a build for me already on TRACK? Thanks. Jody
  23. What would have or could have been the motor in this purple ford I have here? I was thinking hemi, but maybe you can help Jairus? Jody
  24. Alright, I am no pro! But here is what I have learned. Let the decals dry completely! If you have a dehydrator, a hour or so on low. You probably do not, so wait about a full day(24 hours). If youuse solvaset or the like to help adhere your decals to the model, this helps them also, but they still need to be completly dry! Now for the clear coats, I really would not suggest laquar clear as it is HOT. Now this is referring to the chemical reaction that takes place durring its cure or dry time! There is more chemical reaction with the laquar, therefore allowing it to soften and have a chemical reaction with the decals! If you wait a proper amount of time, you can use the enamel clear over it with no problems. If useing acrylic paint instead of enamel, you can use a acrylic clear over them. I too use Pledge with future. Very cheap and works great!. You dont have a air brush, no problem. get your self a cheap bowl, or a used bowl or what have you and pour some in! get yourself a cheap fifty cent foam brush and use that to brush on the future. Also by using the future and a polishing set up, you can also get great shines! Pick up a micro mesh polishing kit( i use the one with the rubber foam polishing/sanding pads) or some fine grit sand paper from the auto store. Get a coupel thousand grit paper. Spray your color, then a coat or two of the clear(wich is suggested before applying decals anyways! Then do a light sanding on the clear coat also referred to as polishing to smooth it out before applying the decals After drying for a day, apply another two coats of clear. If using the future, you will not want to polish it out! But you can take a very soft cotton rag and wet it and buff the future out to a terrific shine! More times then not, the future under the decal, then future over the decal will help eliminate any white edges on older decals! I have only had a problem once with the white edges, but that was on a 96 hour build off. yes I used my dehydrator, but I still pushed the time and paid for it! I do hope this helps. Any questions, I am sure others will chime in with what they use and how it works for them! The main thing is, we are all different, so you have to find what works for you tht you can do and enjoy doing! Thanks. Jody
  25. Very nice! Jody
