Yes, wanting to do a gasser that is different. I have a mental block on the paddy wagon and want to do it much better then a slap job. Have a few close to being done models that I have burned out on and tried getting into them to finish, but I am still burnt out on them! I keep eyeing one kit and really wanting to build it as a gasser. No idea why? it is a very unusual pick I think for this kind of build. But the chassis is set up for easy mods and I just absolutly have to do something to break this dead spell of mine! I am nearing like 2 months of only piddling around and not accomplishing anything! So I guess it is new material I need! Hate to with all of the old ones. But I guess thats just me! LOL. So without any further ado. I am starting on a fresh Dr. FeelGoods 1939 Chevy Delivery by monogram in 1/24 scale. Kit # 2773. I will use the kit decals on it and place some sponsors on it as well. I am leaning towards the redish box art color. But I am also contemplating useing black instead or maybe a mixed up light metallic green? So I will leave that alone! LOL. So stay tuned for this radical build. Hopefully this will stop my builders block and hopefully I can finish one this time? I need to do both things! LOL. First step for me to do right now will be to remove the molded in exhaust and the exhaust mount cross bar!. Alright, first is a shot of the frame cleaned up. Second is with the mounds of glaze on it! Hopefully tomorrow I can get a chance to clean it up and start trying to decide on a power plant that would be period correct for this! mean while, I am thinking maybe stacks. So I am on the lookout for a good set. I think mine had a few blemishes from them. Not sure if I can afford aluminum ones, but it may be a possability. I want a PE grill for it first if I can! Heres a quick update. Alright, frame is cleaned up and most of the mounts are sanded off. Just left the bottems of them for locators. Next is to drill holes in the middle of them, then sand them down the rest of the way. Then I will make my own suspension mounts and brackets on the frame. Thanks.

Looking absolutly terrific Al! One of your best ones so far I think! Im loving it! -
That does look great! Here is my project bike. BMX frame, stripped down. Was leaning towards blue with white stripes, but I just love primer rods too much and think this will end up being a black rat rod bike! LOL. I found a vintage battery operated headlight. I have a vintage small front wheel for the front and vintage 20" white wall for the rear, both tires will be going on modern rims. I will hopefully get it to be a 18 speed. I do have a front fender for it that needes some modification for this application. I am still scrounging for a 20" rear fender for it. It will have a nanner seat on it wich I will pad and recover useing brown leather. Hope to make a PVC tool canister and cover with the same brown leather. Will make it look simular to the old oil cans, but covered. Still trying to find better handle bars as well. I have pipes for it to spice things up some. The front fork will be a stretched version of a BMX forks I think since all of the 10 speed forks are way too long in the neck area. Thanks. Here is my current regular rider that I want to upgrade the gears for as well for daily riding.

Considering there was a big oopsy daisy, it turned out terrific. Very nice save on that! Love the paint and decal scheme!

Some of the newer vehicles like the sports cars and tuners they rotate between the different stars cars museums. We lived there and wet about 3 1/2 years ago and testify they had some different cars in there from when Wayne went. But most all of the old cars are all the same ones. Its just the ones in the front lobby area they change. Well, besides Herbie. Hes been there for like ever. LOL. Hopefully he is still there.

Terrific stuff! Gramps, super! I never thought about doing them as decals. Always wanted to do mirals, but shyed away because my airbrushing is still simple stuff for now. But now realizing I can do decals, it is unlimited! I just may have to start another project now! LOL. Thanks for the simple tips!

Went to the the Holly Wood one. Actually we lived in Sevierville, so we got in for free when we showed our license! Was very nice. The muscle car museum is in Sevierville, but we never did go there. Spent too much time in Dolly wood and splash country since we had golden passes to both. LOL. Sure miss it there! If ya go, make sure to tell Herbie I said hi! LOL. Another great one there is the Ripley's believe it or not! Olso, I forget the name of it, but the upside down place was fun too! I can tell ya a few good places. I can also help point ya to the back roads! May be longer in distance, but WILL save you time! LOL. That strip is killer horrible this time of year from before Sevierville right through and up the hill. The 10 miles or so will take you litterally hours to travel on the weekend! So be prepaired! By the way, if you are a believer, there is a very cool museum on the back side of gatlinburg!

I have heard of useing BMF for it. Looks like a great simple way of doing it. I use parafilm, but not always happy with it! I bought some liquid masking from the RC guys and waiting to airbrush that on a model and try it. But this shure looks like a fool proof way of doing it!
