  1. Wonderfull stuff! I love the drag stuff! Love to see more! Thanks. Jody
  2. Anyone? I would love to make this year better then last since I work with more kids this year. Directly I have 10 to give to. Indirectly I have another 24 too. Jody
  3. Looks very nice!! I have this same kit! I am going to build the "Tin Indian" out of mine. Looks like a nice kit! Jody
  4. Knowing how good he is with his resin, I would have a question for you!! Are they at customs? Jody
  5. Well, I have never tried the thread. The thought intimidates me too much! Like Everyone else has stated, you would really need three or four hands to do this process efficiently. Though, I can imaging doing it with two hands. First, you would need mint flavored thread. second, you would need a small model body like a model T, third you would need a large moutn! Place the body into the mouth and start to cut out the doros while flossing? HEHEHEHE. Jody
  6. Alright guys, I did this last year and had some success. I asked for models for tots and got in a few snappers. Because we were not part of the community, I ebnded up with more models then kids. However this year, we are Sunday School teachers and cub scout leaders, so honestly I can put any and all to use! What I am looking for is sealed snap tight kits or open but like new that you want to donate. This year I will take photos of the recipients as well where I can and share. We have 2 months to go, so let me know what ya got. Thanks. Jody
  7. That is looking nice so far! Jody
  8. Thanks for the links etc. Jody
  9. I am looking for early drag cars from the 60's and early 70's. If you have a collection of photos and do not mind sharing, please let me know. I want to collect anything and everything I can and archive them. as the years roll by, the old photos and reference material becomes harder and harder to find. So before everything is gone with those who lived it, I want to make a collection for people to view and share. Thanks. Jody
  10. LOL. Thats one Im missing!! LOL. I need whatever I can finish to put onto the new shelves in my man cave when its done. Sorry. Jody
  11. I would not have gone out to buy these, but I managed to pick up the 55, the willys, the Austin and the Semi in trades. They are fun to build. Now to finish off the collection when I can. Thanks. Jody

  13. Since my arm is litterally about killing me, I cant seem to do any work, not even any real work on models. However, I can paint. So I did this one today to break the block. it is a Polar Lights Willy's Snap Dragin kit. Thanks. Jody
  14. I have eyed several things that might could be used here. White gauze, or white medi tape, I have even wondered about dryer sheets? Need to make sure its not real fuzzy. But the real cloth wraps are that as far as I know, so would think would want to do about the same thing in scale. I also thought that the dryer sheets may be good for using as ait filter material and maybe even as chute pack covering? Jody
  15. Great job! I am trying to pull parts and decals together for his first version of the 62 Belair. Jody

  19. Hello. I dont have the vega body in resin, no. I do have the astre front and rear sections, but never molded yet. I will be workin on a baldwin motion "super Vega" hood here soon. As for the back dating, if you are set on back dating the body, I believe I have a half written tutorial here somewheres, mostly pics of a 1/16 scale vega someone did that to. I could dig them up once I get a new fan for that PC and give them to you. I think most of it was fairly simple? Cant remember for sure.Sure does sound like a great project!! Jody
  20. That is very nice looking so far!! Jody

  23. Thank you very much for the reply. I did not know Tamiya had a putty! LOL.I am wondering if any other types/ brands would work for filling. Being a wood worker, I know of a few fillers or quick wood or even epoxies that might work, and may be cheaper for the amount? I have a roll of maple veneer with some mohagany stain. I had taken a two seat boat with 4 banger inline motor and had converted it to a single seat spead boat and looking at putting in a Hemi V drive system. I had made veneer inserts for the wood panels on top, but again was lost to the paint scheme for the boat. You have really inspired me and I hope you do not take offense if I decide to do the entire boat in wood veneer now. Thank you very much!! Jody
  24. So, what is your ebay username? Jody
