I might add just a touch of thought to that. I have judged model shows. Poeple look at little models in awe because of all of thier vast details, details in wich you buy and merly glue on. I am no longer a big scaler, but know about the world of large scale. There are very few things you can get from very few places. If you dont get along with one person, your choices just got cut in half! Modt all details on larger scale, 1/20 on up to 1/4, need to be scratch built! Therefore, showing in my opinion more talent! Just a thought. Also, regarding my priuor post, in my mind, a roaster is a open bodied vehicle(convertibel) with some sort of area to store belongings like a bed, trunk, turle deck, rumble seat ect. I am just wanting to confirm that since viewing the sites for the roaster show, it showed the likes of solid top mercs and c cabs ect. I dont view those as roasters, but sedand ect. Now though on a side note. Would a sedan without its top be eligable for this as it becomes a open bodied car like the old model T sedans? or the say, 29 pickup that has been chopped, no top, drastically shortened bed with no fenders on a custom made chassis to lower it? I am sure I would not be the only one to ask these questions. I actually have a 32 I might chop the top off and get a duvall windshield for this contest, making it a raodster, but inquiring minds do want to know. Thanks. Jody

This is one of my resin drums, wich P ainted up today and scratched a drum pump for. I included some tell tale signs of rust, some dirt and grime and some paint smudges along with a dirtl shop rag left on top of the drum. Now I need to make a small pallet for it. Hope you enjoy. Jody

One method is to use electrical tape, rip off a length of it, and fold it over in half. Cut it to the size and length needed and glue it on with epoxy or superglue making sure you hide you seem somehweres. Thanks. Jody -
That is very very cool! I would have loved to have seen one! Jody

There are no local clubs here, the closet on is in Rochester wich is over a hour drive for me. Last time I lived in this area there was interest in a club. Now that I am back here, wondering if there is anyone from the Finger Lakes region, near Bath/Hornell, Corning area that would like to get involved in a local club? Thanks. Jody

it took me some time, but this should be Montys contact if its still good, mrlowans@wmconnect.com (865)397-9870 just let him know you are interested in S.P.A.M. and that Jody sent ya to him. Thanks, Jody
-
Unfortunately, S.P.A.M. did not have a web site. You can ask Jeff (bowtie) perhaps on contact info, or stop at the LHS in Sevierville on the stretch by the exotic pet shop. He will give ya the info. I had his contact info, but when my hard drive crashed on my computer, I lost it. Thanks. Jody

When I was in the sales force, the two selling factors that mattered the most was price and customer service! Not everyone out there buying these magazines are on this forum. Some poeple get real testy about something coming a day late and a dollar short! I am sure many wont mind paying more, as long as they get thier service! However if the price goes up, the number of issues do not go up and the mags keep coming late, more poeple will drop thier subscriptions instead of renewing them. Also since LHS continue to go out of business and or carry less things like magazines, it will be detrimental to make sure those mags get out into circulation in mag shops and stores for more poeple to see and find! Even in todays technological society, I am sure theres poeple out there who model without knowing theres modeling mags available because they dont ge online! Now I appreciate that this mag is more of a family oriented mag and alot of the poeple who put it together are also fellow modelers! However I do not subscribe to any! SAE is out as I feel as though it is simply money and polatics there! But I do not subscribe to MCM because I find the price rather high for so few issues esp. when they had always come late too! I would know everything in the mag before I got it because of me being online constantly, so why subscribe! Now, if the price was to be that $35 a year for 12 issues and I could get them on time, then I would subscribe! Just my 2 cents worth wich equates to about 1 1/ 2 cents in todays economy! Thanks. Jody -

Well, more updates. LOL. I am having a blast with this thing. Thanks very much Geezer!! Added a scoop and hogged the body out for it. Also added a scoop in the rear roof and gogged that out as well. That one will be for the radiator and electric fan I will be adding. Youll notice the mill is a corvette set up! Stay tuned for more! LOL.Jody

Alright, got more done today. Adding some round pieces to the bottom to clean it up, cleaned up the door opening, added a layer of styrene inside to sturdy things up, removed the motor mounts and started making new ones and extending the front some with more flare. Lots to do still, but it is shaping up quickly! Thanks. Jody
