  1. Update on the suspension and interior. The pie case is hacked in half and I need to use styrene and veneer to close it in and box it up nice. The rear end is almost done and ready for paint! Next will be making a door for the back and drivers side! Jody
  2. Nice machining! Some day I will get me a lathe with milling machine and be able to make nice masters! Great job again! Jody
  3. Well, started out with a paint bombe trike. Had to unfortunatly strip the body. So I added leather to the seat and floor, and wood to the back. Making a show rod style rear end with some pro-street tires and 5 hole mags. Adding a chevy power mill and doing a custom cable operated front wheel. Heres some beginning shots. Thanks. Jody
  4. Very nice stuff! Is the fuel tank aluminum? Also wondering where you got the air breaters from? Just the way a rod should look! Jody

  6. That is starting to come together and look really good. Though the grey engine would look better painted. LOL Oh, maybe that will be done soon. LOL. JK. Keep us posted! Jody

Wow, What else can be said, nice, clean, nicely detailed! Sharp car. Jody
  8. I do it different then some do. But heres my process. I figure out what size cicle I need, then I cut it out of a piece of card stock and adher to the tire using rubber cement. I then use duplicolor auto self etching primer and lay down 2 coats give or take. Need to make sure the tire is coated well enough for no black to show. Then I spray on a few light coats of duplicolor auto classic white until it is nice and white. I leave it at that, but if its too shiny for you, you could spray a dullcote over it. Thanks. Jody
  9. I got them in a parts box sent to me. I would have to judge they must be 1/24? however my 1/25 resin Cragars fit in them as you can see. By the way everyone, sorry about the pics. Its not the camera, it was me. I had the shakes and could not hold it still to sAve my life! LOL. Jody
  10. Well, got another T sedan Delivery in the mail today. Also got some serious slicks too. So, had to make something for competition to compliment the parts delivery for the dio. So I chopped it a scale 8". Thinking I will use my Lincoln FlatHead V-12 in it? Now I just need to scratch a frame and find a S.C.O.T. blower for it! Going to be almost the same color as it is very close to what I am already using on the other one, so just going to clean it up a tad, then spray a coat or two of my color over it and away we go. I used heavy styrene glue on it so it would squeeze out some small bubbles along the seem to make it look like it was welded. First time I attempted it, but I am satisfied for it! Will leave the "weld" RAW LOL. Thanks. Jody
  11. Very nice set up!Jody
  12. Several questions answered here, but perhaps one that I would think of. How does one go about being "chosen" to do a model by any one of these companies? Thanks. Jody

  18. Thats all I swear by is Duplicolor paints! I will add that the effex is very cool as well!! Here is a two toned mustang with the effex over it that my 9 year old daughter did! Definatly, nothing particularly go well under black. Its like trying to see the sun shine through the clouds on a dark cloudy night. It just doesnt work! LOl. Jody
  19. I got 2 29 partial kits in trade and had to set about making use of them! I really was looking for inspiration for my 29 chop top when I ran across a beautiful truck. So I decided to model one very simular to it! Heres the progress so far! Using the suspension and the motor out of the 37 ford kit. Jody
  20. lloks very cool! Jody
  21. To do one body I spend maybe in the neighborhood of $20. $5 for a can of auoto primer, $5 for a can of auto color $5 for a can of auto clear $5 with shipping for Alclad. Now if you want a different interior color other then those, different engine color then those, different colors on the body IE two tones, flames ect, then it goes up quickly. Once you have a "store house" of paint, then you dont realize it as much. But to buy per model, you realize the pain of it! LO. Jody
  22. Well, I had asked on a few sites for a copy of the mag articles. Had several poeple say they would scan them, but no has yet? I dont get a swirling effect when I spray the paint. Maybe I am just a boober? I will try soon on a extra body to pour paint into it so I can somwhat swirl it. Ill post the results good or bad! LOL. Jody
  23. That is nice! Nice color combos. Do look forward to seeing more! Jody
  24. Some very nice clean cool models there! Jody
  25. I have looked at some tutorials here and there trying to build confdence to try it myself. I notice usually they use a combination of three colors. Each either a tad darker or tad lighter from the original to highlight it! I have yet to try it as I am still scared. Other then the highlights, wich I cant tell for sure weather you did or not because the photos are slightly fuzzy, it looks like a excellent start esp. for the first attempt! So kudos to you. Its only up hill from here bro! Look forward to seeing the next couple! Jody
