  5. Thank you for sharing. Very good stuff there! Jody
  6. I learned to leave the lines off of the rear ends and use the shocks and the rods to attach it. Then attach the lines last. Then the drive shafts too.Though you will have to snip the nubs off of them to slide them into position. Thats the easiest I have found. nThe frame itself was a nightmare too trying to get all of the cross members in there. Basically I try to do one at a time after the last dried. Though sometimes the last does still pop out! Definetly not user friendly.LOL. Jody
  7. Here is the body to my wifes 37 that we painted together. Hope you like it so far. Thanks. Jody
  8. Here is the begginings of my 1/16 scale hot rod van. The newer version of the mystery machine gave me the idea. Where it goes, I wont say yet.HEHEHEHE.Jody
  9. Looks right at home in front of that garage!!Jody
  10. Very nice start! Building the snake bite with my youngest, the TNMNT with my second oldest and the Big Foot with my daughter, I can attest that these frames and suspensions are real boogers to do. The best of luck to you one them!! I love the way they look, but absolutly hate the way they go together! I love your idea and do look forward to seeing more!!Jody
  11. Alright guys. I took a model of a old build I did as a kid that I liked. Decided to give it a touch of reality, and give it a plot. What would it be like if some rodding coppers hot rodded this thing! I started out br eliminating the original chassis and scratchbuilding a scale 2" tubular frame out of styrene rod. Then I Took a Revell parts pack Pontiac and added a Catalina(pontiac) tranny to it. I took a 1970 camaro rear end in it. Took a set of Revell/Momogram two piece slicks and turned them around. Painted the inner half with Duplicolor etching primer, then duplicolor classic white. I took the front wheels from the catalina kit as well as the rims. Stripped all of the chrome and painted most of it with aclad. My first time using the airbrush and this paint wich a friend gave me to try. By the time I got to the front rims, I was doing pretty good.So being a begginer, I am rather impressed with the stuff! Now onto the body. I hogged out the grill leaving just the shell. I cut off the steps from the old frame and mounted them to a scratch build wooden floor. The body I painted with duplicolor as well. Added carpet to the back to help protect them criminals from hurting themselves. left the chrome trim to a minimum because I did not want it to look like a show rod, but a real rod. The only thing missing here is the DD box(dunkin Doughnets). LOL. I hope you like it.This was not a contest model. I just did a quick fun build. It is not perfect, but it certainly shows well I think!Thank you. Jody
  12. Thank you, those are all cool!!Jody

  16. I have a program I am starting with my email group and forum, kustomcarz. I would like to see if any other modelers out there may want to join in on this? The idea is to collect donated snap kits or funds to buy snap kits and or modeling supplies to go with them. My intention is to be able to give these to some impoverished kids to share the spirit of the season and to hopefully get more of the younger generation involved with modeling. I also hope to spend some time with these kids as possible to build these models to give them some fundamental basics. So if this is allowed here and or you would like to participate, please let me know.Thanks. Jody

  20. My five year old son got this kit for his birthday. He loved helping daddy paint the parts esp. the body. Its all his color choices! The assembly however was mostly dads job as he was not patient enough and it was too boring!LOl. Hope you enjoy.Jody
  21. Well guys, this is my idea of how the paddy wagon should be like and how it would have been if the PD had actually created it to get ya! LOL.The frame is scratched and the wooden floor as well. it is powered by a Revell Parts pack pontiac and custome wide whites in the rear with catalina white walls in the front.Just a couple of things left to put on it. Jody
