Alright this started life by a cab I got in a trade. Later I got a Thames chassis. I decided to mate them for life. I then found a extra 29 truck bed so the project bega. I z'd the frame and dropped it. I origianlly started out with a TRAK style in mind, then I found these really cool rear tires and threw the rims in them. Then I got a grave Digger mill in and it just looked too bad, so that is what I am staying with. Here is some mock ups of the cab on the chassis and of the chassis now.Ready for some spot putty, then primer. The doors will be suicide style and the bed will hinge up. The interior will be aluminum and tuck n roll. I will be spraying the body with a metallic smoke grey and adding some killer flames. The chassis I am debating chrome, bright red or fiery orange? The interior I am debating classic white or fiery orange, or both(along with the aluminum floor. Thanks.Jody

My grandfather has a old Beetle bug that was custom made into a panel by using the back half of a old english car. The problem is we do not know what car! He has a broken tail light lens and needs to identify what it came from. The numbers on the lens has 56 so we assume what ever it is, it was a 1956 model. I thought maybe a anglia or something, but can not get any info.Any help would be appreciated!!

Those kits should be by alumilite. They are a good place to start. A lot of poeple use them. That is where I started. If ya give me your email addy, I have a real good tutorial that someone shared with me that I can pass along to you. Planning and practice is the two big things! It may cost you a bit to get going and fluent with it, but I think its worth it.Jody

Thanks very much for that list! I will be not far from Corning, so these are all a big drive for me Glen Modeling I used to be a member of when I was in school! I will have to save the list and see what happens. Really wish there was one closer to where I was living, or a couple of poeple from that are5a2 ho would like to start up a new one. I wouldnt mind heading that up either. Thanks for the info!! Jody -

Another thing you can do is spray down a wet coat and dust on some fine grit sand. When dry, brush the access off then paint. A black base is good to start with. then after adding a charcoal color or color of choice, use you hobby nife and make some distressed lines where the asphalt has cracked.I like that old what is it, desert road diorama! Very cool!!

Is there any updates or new info on this club?? Jody -
Another thing you can try is stripped telephone wire. I believe detail master also sells interior cloth. I have thought the leather and stuff was too thick of a appearance without having to scrape the back down. A pain in the rear end I think. If you want to add a leather texture, there is one kind of paint in the stores that comes in brown and black that when sprayed, looks like leather. You can also use a textured paint, then spray your color over top of that.
