Since I usually like to build bigger kits, the kit price is usually $20-$35. Paint and clear usually around $10-$20 a kit. Have not done any detail until now. Have not polished yet and glue is about $4 a bottle. Now recently my wife got a 29 RPU and we had a hard top left over so I bought two parts models for $15, parts pack motor for $10 with shipping. Everything else was a trade and left overs. However I must admit after the recent show I have decided to put myself to a test for detail. a 1970 1/2 Baldwin motion Camaro. Two kits and Resin chassis and a kit I found at the swap that had some after market details. So initially I already have spent $64. Need to get many more details, I figure $100 and paint I figure $20 and this time polishing stuff, about $10 so should be around $200. However this is a first and I want whole hog with opening doors and removable parts, bolts wires, hood pins, door handles fans hose clamps, the whole nine yards as this will be a competition car.Thanks. Jody

Unfortunately, there is not much offered yet. Competition resins and altered states has some stuff, but that is geared for racing. I have some things, but not alot yet. Although that is my primary scale and things are on the horizon. Also, if there is something specific you are looking for, let me know and maybe we can come up with something. Here are pics of what I have available so far. Also have cragar ss for funny car tires, and a flat head v-8. http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e28/clas...s%20For%20Sale/ Thanks. Jody

Hello. I just got back from the show and spent a little settling in. Thanks to all who turned out. I was disappointed in the swap area as there was I think much less then last year. However the automotive classes was a good turn out. Got to meet a few poeple I had not met before. Hie Jeff!! I liked a bunch that I saw. I was graced with the luck of being a judge. I dont know if I want to admit that. Sorry about some of the cars. Some should have won as well. Too few classes and in some areas, too many entries. Bowties was all excellent! Ill let him do his talking though. Some of these classes, like competition/ road and track and competition/straight line was very hard to judge.I dont know how many times Monty and I had to walk around the tables to nit pick. These two classes had some very awesome stuff in it and we had to go over them very well and pick out any minor flaw we could find to try to decide the top winners. Like I said, it was very hard! These models were near flawless, just very minute minor things that are to be expected. Outstanding workmanship!! Jeff, sorry I did not get a chance to talk to you more, if you want, go ahead and email me and we will chat some more! I could use some tips from ya!Thanks. Jody -

Hello. Just a quick update. We have decided to do a trans kit to start with. It will be the nose piece, tail piece and tail lights. I will upload pics later when I get the chance as I just got back home from a show. Bruce is sending me the master to cast. Not sure of the price yet, but probably around $15. Thanks. Jody -

I will be there. I am not sure if my model will be done or not as I am still waiting on a couple of parts. But I will be there supporting my club, and trying to sell some of my 1/16 scale resin parts. My daughter may have a model there? We are trying to do our best. If anything I will be there to spend money and make money and give support! I do hope to meet you guys there, so look for the SPAM. (Sick Puppies Automotive Modeling table) and ask for me, Jody. If you guys are from around here, perhaps you can get the info and come join our club meeting a time or two. Hope to see ya all there. Jody -
Well, not quite. Mine will be a Kustom, maybe that new one coat laquer green with white interior, white tuck n roll bed cover, and a bunch of chrome with green steelies next to those white walled tires?Jody

Well, played with this thing today and it sat soo low that it did some bumping and grinding and here is what happened. HEHEHE Jody

I am lookinf for flat head V-8 with dual water pumps and alternator and distributor and socal/vintage speed style blower and preferably heads with front water spickets. I was told that Replicas and miniatures of maryland had something close to what I was looking for and about the best on the market. I am looking for pictures, prices and part numbers if anyone can help me please. I am rounding up information for a real kustom paddy wagon project. Thanks. jody

Smart-Resins replied to MarkJ's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Hello. If I can get your email addy. Another resin caster sent me a good tutorial about casting bodies and I could forward it to you. Thanks. Jody -
Yes, I love dem in da weeds. However I dont mind a good rod up higher. I personally just can not stand fensers what so ever unles they are cut offs in the back with bicycle in the front! Jody
-
I would agree with ya, but she prefers the mostly stock, but slight hot rod style?? Ill tell her though, after I grab a pillow for protection.LOL. Jody
-
Thanks, thats cool. Will have to cruise on over there when I get my current run of molds and casting done. Thanks. Jody

Very Nice! I am not a slot car guy. However I have heard of a bunch of talk about guys using model bodies and parts to customize thier slot cars. I have though about finding more out and maybe dabble in casting a couple of things for the slot car guys?Thoughts? Jody
