  2. todd, read my post after I posted the photo.
  3. Super attention to detail, and the bmf looks right on the money! Great job on a sweet, overlooked, and underappreciated Ford.
  4. hmm... decisions...
  5. Btw, which flat clear coat did u use?
  6. love it so far. color is rad and it looks awesome with the flat clear. I may have to attempt this method
  7. Well executed sir! Very clean
  8. I am aware that this is not a 53 But this is what inspired me to do a Chevy sled.
  9. Thanks for the comments fellas. Your advice means a lot. I Started shaving the mold lines and trim today and I think I will be omitting the skirts. I think it would look good if it was a tail dragger and shes not quite that. Going for a meaner look. Joker, nice clean build. Very classy chop. And Stu, Love your idea for the chop, but how should I go about filling in that trunk lid after I slide the window forward? On a closing note, heres My inspiration. It will be very loosely based on this, I just really dig the look without all trim lines: Thanks again
  10. Hey guys... Gonna do my first chop. We'll see how it goes. Using the 53 lowrider Bel Air kit from Revell, which is 1/24 (ugh) but oh well. After testing the so called "lowrider" suspension I was less than impressed, so out came the Dremel and heres what I got. Going for a Bagged lead sled. Painted some wide whites (terribly) just to see how it would look while i wait for my Modelhaus tires to show up. This was my first step lowering: Here's where she is sitting currently. I'm Pretty content with it, What do you guys think? Also with some less drastic white walls: And with Skirts... Yay or nay? Thats all for now, Ill try to keep up with the build thread. Hopefully the next post will have the roof chopped and trim/handles shaved down. Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks
  11. What model number tires are these from modelhaus?
  12. Thanks for the kind words fellas. Cranky, its a decal that came with the kit. pretty sweet huh?
  13. just a quick weekend build. Been itchin' to do a rat rod/shop truck, kept it clean and simple. Thanks for lookin

  17. Great idea. Comin along nicely!
  18. Badass.
  19. Thanks fellas, and Zuk, That's my favorite shot as well.
  20. My first try at a Tamiya kit (other than a motorcycle). A bit disappointed that there is no engine detail and the suspension is kind of lacking, but it does have the Gullwing doors which are pretty cool. Got a decent amount of the chassis done and painted the roll cage. The wheels are painted and and tires just need lettering. I also attached the front fascia, spoiler, and rear bumper (Went together effortlessly I might add). Shes ready for primer. Over all I'd say this kit is gonna go together very smoothly, Thank you Tamiya. Box Art: And the WIP: Now time for some interior work...
  21. Great detailing overall. Love the Misfits fiend skull on the back!
  22. Had a great time building this little kit, despite the fact that the parts needed lots of cleaning up. It's The AMT Daisy's Jeep kit but I made a few modifications. Changed the roll bar supports and gave her a slight body lift. The tires are stock from the daisy kit but the wheels are from the AMT Ford Flairside pick-up. Painted in Tamiya X-7 red. Hope you enjoy
  23. I just picked up one of these...Hopefully it will look half as nice as yours.
