Wouldn't it be easier to just rob a 428 motor out of another kit, or does a 428 motor even exist in kit form?

I know its rough, but try Easy Off oven cleaner...it might work

Sweet!!! I can relate to the clear tubing.. PITA . I'm working on Tamiya's Ferrari 312B, and the tubing is so old, its pretty much useless. I've set the motor aside until I figure out what to do. . Great work, Cheers, Ian
