  1. Good! I was starting to think I sounded mean, and I'm not. I promise!!! LOL
  2. Sorry Joe. I should have added a smiley emoticon. I was smiling pretty much the entire time I was typing my response except when thinking about how much of a little menace Emilee is... Sorry if I "sounded" like I was upset. I certainly wasn't. I will post some pics soon - maybe not so much showing "progress" as attempts at progress... LOL
  3. Thank Karl. Praise Him. John 3:16 is my life verse. In the case of PE, I should be able to post an image of the drawing. Is there anything in particular you are curious about what it looks like? I'd be happy to do what I can to let people know. I don't have too many trade secrets - maybe only one or two... LOL
  4. Thanks Greg. I appreciate your input. I'll have to consider the TASK 8 when I need to reorder. As you saw in my intro paragraph, Ed Fluck does my body casting and I know he has been using Vagabond resin. I know that resin is somewhat more rigid than what I currently use. I'm going to send Ed my pro stock pan and see how he gets along casting it. The ones I've cast with 300 have been a bit more flex-y than I'd really like... If you don't mind sending me a sample, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again! Scott
  5. Thanks everyone, for the good wishes... Joe - Thanks for the kind words, bud! I am in the latter stages of getting a stock body version ready to go. At the speed I work and wish all the other irons in the fire I've got going, I'm hoping it won't be more than a couple more weeks before I have the basic body ready to go. All the major work is done on it. It's mostly finishing up a few surface imperfections and getting the finish on the body as close to perfect as I can. The bumpers need some work and I'm trying to figure out how I can make it so they attach where they should. I'll still have the interior sides and extending a floorpan to do, but first things first... John - my plan all along has been that my stock body Fairmont would use the AMT/Ertle Fox Mustang as the donor but with Revell's announcement about their coupe and the greater detail that Revell's offerings typically have, I might have to rethink that. The coupe might make a better floorpan donor since the coupes actually have a trunk, of sorts, unlike the hatchback cars.
  6. Looks great Charlie! That's a super addition to your lineup...
  7. Slacking off??? What are you talking about Joe? I've been busy! I promise I'll have something posted soon. I have been working on it, just no pics. Our new kitty Emilee makes taking pics a whole lot more challenging than Isabel ever did. I have to put everything away between photo sessions or it'll either be batted on the floor and lost or perforated by her sharp little teeth.
  8. Hi, I wanted to formally announce that my website www.futurattraction.com is now operational. I offer mostly 70s-80s vintage drag race-inspired parts, with an emphasis on Ford- and Fairmont-related stuff. Much of what I offer comes in multi-media packages that include resin, photo etch, aluminum and stainless tubing and a few aftermarket parts, such as RB Motion rod ends and MAD pre-wired distributor caps. I've also started expanding into the area of larger scale drag parts. I do most of my own small parts casting and product development, however I do have Ed Fluck cast my pro stock Fairmont body and related parts. If you ever need any casting done, I can't recommend a better person than Ed... As with many modelers, this is a part-time venture for me, since I still have a 40-hour a week job, so my time is more limited than I’d like. I've got some interesting projects in the works. Take a look! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Scott
  9. I don't even know what to say Jeff. Your Challenger is way off the charts! Love it bud!!!
  10. Good to see you back (on this), Jeff. I'd been wondering where you were at...
  11. It's good to see you back in the saddle, Chris. Your pan turned out as nicely as everything else you've completed on this project... Super job!
  12. Your intake looks fantastic, Joe. Well, everything does! I understand having a furry family member around who takes away from modeling time. Our new kitten soaks up a lot of build time - either spending time with her, or her getting in the way of what I'm doing and/or causing other distractions... LOL
  13. I'm glad to hear your doing better Chris. We all go through those troughs in motivation where it just takes some time, a change in focus for awhile, or who knows what else, before we can get back in the saddle... Here's hoping that finishing up your seat will give you a jump start! I'll look forward to an update soon.
  14. Looks super, John... That is one super-clean build. I just hope it doesn't do any major wheel stands or that oil pan is going to take a beating! LOL
  15. Your engine is looking great, Joe. I really like that finish on the block, as others have said. Thanks for sharing! I'll look forward to more updates soon... :-)
  16. I just received a call from our local HL that the two kits I ordered are in, so I can pick them up, hopefully tonight! You guys who have HLs close by, you might want to check/call and see if they have them in stock yet. The girl who called me said she'd ordered my two plus two more which were supposed to go out on the shelf. Here's hoping they're on the shelves at your local HLs soon...
  17. Those cars (in 1:1) would have been a real handful to drive, with the short wheelbase. You did a superb job in building this one, Darryl.
  18. Nice clean builds. I like 'em! I especially like your body-up engine shots.
  19. I can't speak too much to the proportions of the upper fender, but trimming the fender lips definitely make them more in the correct proportion to the 1:1.
  20. Got my first one at my LHS yesterday. I'm thrilled to have it. Waiting on two more from HL. Not that it'll be a problem to deal with, but I wonder what caused the tiny tweak/imperfection in the forward-center part of the roof. I saw that same flaw in Doctor Cranky's video...
  21. Now that I've picked my jaw up off the keyboard, I can type. What a spectacular job! There's no point in repeating what everybody else has said, but my gosh!!! I'm not really a bike fan, but the work you did on your T/F bike is off the charts. I'll keep watching and look forward to more updates.
  22. Looks like a perfect fit, to me, Terry...
  23. Beautiful job on both of them. Great execution!
