  1. Yeah - that's it, camlock. Thanks! My wife told me I got a package today, which should be my .016 order. Fingers crossed...
  2. Thanks for the kind words, Joseph, Alan and Ted. They're much appreciated... Scott - I'd really like to see one of the new Revell Mustang coupes. Even if the Revells and AMT/Ertl kits are replicating the same 1:1, Revell has really been stepping up the quality of many of their new products, so I'm hoping the detail might be better with this new kit coming out. I can't wait to see one!
  3. Kris is a great guy to work with and offers a great product!
  4. Hey Chris, The software I use is TurboCad. I've already drawn up seatbelt hardware in 1/16th. Some of those should be in the .010 order. I forgot about belt hardware when I mentioned the PE stuff earlier. I drew up both lever latch style as well as the more current design (can't think what it's called). Hopefully they'll all work well as-is.
  5. There will be at least hand brake levers in the .016 order. There will be butterfly steering wheels and some lever sets in the .010 order. Can't remember what else there might be that fits this specific build.
  6. There are no longer words I can think of to describe this build, Chris. I have what is hopefully good news that I should have some PE pieces for your shortly. I'm supposed to be getting an .016 order in hopefully today, and an .010 order in in the next couple weeks.
  7. She looks really sweet, Fred. I've been thinking about pro streeting one of these. The stance you've achieved with this really gives me a great idea of what mine would look like. Great paint, fantastic job on your rear frame/suspensions mods. Just a super clean job all the way around!
  8. It looks super, Chris! I love that body "up" shot. It doesn't take too much imagination to envision a whole bunch of hardware packed in under that body...
  9. Super job on your conversion, Ron. I'll look forward to an update sometime soon!
  10. Great job, Chris! At this point you gotta take your time and keep doing things right...
  11. That's great news, Joe! I'm glad you've got that ol' brain a goin' thinking about a new project. I'll look forward to seeing updates on your progress, or PM me if you wish... God bless!
  12. I'm looking forward to following along on this one Mark. You're off to a great start!
  13. That is a super build you've started Michael. I will be sure to monitor your thread for progress updates!
  14. Super job! From sow's ear into a silk purse...
  15. I don't know how I missed this one, Brad, but you've totally knocked it out of the park with the work you've done on your Fiat. Your scratch building skills are fantastic and I love all the detail you've added. I'll look forward to more updates. Best wishes at DSC9!
  16. Thanks Jason. The progress hasn't been nearly as rapid or consistent as I'd have liked, but I'm hoping I'm over the hump with at least the front end issues. Hey Bill - Thanks for your encouragement. Tyrone: Thanks bro. Coming from you - that means a lot! Thank you Wayne. Hopefully I can get up a head of steam on this - finally! LOL Dave - There's learning on my part, too. I've watched Chris work on his Army car for so long and seen him rework things when they weren't up to his standards. I've tried to follow that same thinking. Thanks for the encouragement, James! Thank you, Bill. Hopefully we'll see each other in a few months in KS... Hey Chris - Thanks brother. I'm constantly reminded of trying to do my best, after seeing all you've done to make your F/C build what it is. Thanks Art! When things are going right, it's a lot of fun to think ahead, daydream, problem solve and all the other mind-game related things we do when planning. Executing is the next challenge! LOL I got the upper strut mounts attached night before last and I'm working on the lower A-arm tubing - getting it cut to the right length and see that the caster/camber stay where they're supposed to be. I'm trying to figure out where my brake hard line tubing is going to be routed so I know where to put hold downs and fittings.
  17. Super cool job, Dave! I'm going to PM you shortly...
  18. Super clean build, buddy! If a guy didn't know better, looking into that interior, I'd think it was the rea thing!
  19. Joe, I'm terribly sorry to hear about your hand injury and your needing to sell your '57. While models are lots of fun and the pasttime so many of us enjoy and look forward to doing, life and finances still take priority over our hobbies. First and foremost, you're in my and lots of other people's prayers for successful upcoming surgeries and a full recovery down the road. Lord willing, in time, you'll get back to building, and I, for one, will look forward to seeing your work in the future. God bless... Scott
  20. I finally got the engine compartment panels molded, cast, and mocked up, sandwiched around a bout with being sick and trying to get ready for a show. The fit, uniformity and spacing all look like they finally suit me, so I can hopefully start making some decent progress. The driver side doesn't want to set down into the jig as nicely as I'd like. Adding the front cross member and gussets, I trust, will care of that. I still need to add the upper strut gussets. This is the stance I'm shooting for. Closeup of the rearend mocked up. Comments welcome...
  21. Phenomenal work, Joe. Your bullhorns look totally for-real. Super job!
  22. That's an excellent tutorial! Thanks for sharing. The realism is unreal...
  23. Right-on execution, Joe. That was a really smart/wise way of adding tubing to the end of your bullhorn so you didn't have to try to drill it out. This is just such a fantastic build. I always look forward to your updates.
  24. This is incredible. http://www.varietyvideosllc.com/about2.html
