  1. Thanks for your extra pics, Norbert. Where did you source your engine?
  2. Very nice job on the rear end, Earl. It doesn't look first-time-ish at all!
  3. Great! I'm looking forward to seeing both you and your project. I'm hoping for the same with my Fairmont but the way this week's going, I'm not going to hold my breath... LOL
  4. I really like the direction you're taking this, Danny. Keep the updates coming!
  5. Great looking work, Mark! Doing those spokes in photo etch would be another way of approaching that part of the project, if they were done in heavy enough material. Cool! Are you still planning on the Heartland show?
  6. You're off to a flying start! Looking forward to this one, Tyrone... as I always do.
  7. Your engine harness detailing as well as all of the engine bay detailing looks excellent. Keep up the great work! Scott
  8. I like the scalloped inset where the paint wraps around it, and I also like the blue and red that runs along the entire top of the car and extends back into the spill plate.
  9. You've done another knock-out job on you DD Mustang. Do you have any engine pics? You definitely got it in the weeds like they originally were, which means you had to do a lot of re-work from the original kit. What did you do to get it down that low? I looks great, Norbert!
  10. I'm totally sold on your build. The way it sets is right-on and I love your wheels. The custom engine compart looks as smooth as a baby's butt...
  11. I always thought Mustang IIs made cool looking race cars, especially when they're as low-slung as yours is. I think this is shaping up to be a really outstanding build, since stance is so much a part of the overall look - and you'totally nailed that aspect of it... Lookin' forward to more updates.
  12. Thanks for the info, Douglas. It's much appreciated. Chris, thank you for the pics. Tonight is grocery night, so I'm gonna see if I can pick up a roll of one or the other of those first-aid tapes.
  13. What bothers me about this is why, when Brad was communicating with the powers that be, that dimensions weren't correct, that Revell didn't do anything to address the problem at that point instead of letting it go.?.?.? With the current technology, there really is no excuse for not having an accurately replicated body.
  14. I was thinking the same thing, Casey, as far as the low angle that the kit body pic is taken from. A few degrees of rotation of the body in relation to the camera would also make a difference in the appearance of the B pillar angle. There is no denying, though, that the kit roof is short of what it should be (both figuratively and literally).
  15. I could very easily be convinced to vote for #5 now... LOL I like that paint layout the best even if you changed up on the colors.
  16. That would be great, Chris. I think what I have is the J&J brand. Thanks for your offer of pics. I'm really close to having your stuff ready to send out...
  17. I'd vote for #1, but any of the top three hold the most appeal to me.
  18. Kevin and Douglas - I am going to do some follow-up and see what I can come up with for hood pin hardware. It will take some time, so please be patient. Casey - Thanks. I'm hoping this will help fill some voids for larger scale builders. Onward and upward, hopefully... Hey Joe! Thanks. You've got to get yourself back to 100% builders strength so you can get lots of stuff from me! LOL Thank Kevin. I hope there are things that will help you out. Will do, Anthony. I am hoping to find some 3/16" ribbon in a handful of colors to include as belt material. I know it's available online, but haven't found any locally, so far. I am going to use the white medical tape and cut it into appropriate strips and try that in the meantime.
  19. All of your builds of that vintage of pro stockers have all turned out spot-on. They have the right stance, paint looks great and they're just really nice replicas of the real cars. Great job Norbert!
  20. I can't help but smile when I see Danno counting rivets. Oops, I hope I didn't interrupt his train of thought and he'll have to start over... LOL I agree with you and Ed that the .7 rivets strike me as being more the proper size. It's looking phenomenal, my friend...
