  1. I just got one. I don't know when I'll get around to working on it. Maybe when I retire. LOL I haven't had tons of time to look at it so far, but at first glance it looks pretty impressive.
  2. As others have said, it's great to see this one back on the move. Super work, Dave...!
  3. If I can scare up a few minutes this weekend, I'll try to take a pic of it and post it. It's made up of five layers of glass with what I'm presuming is some sort of plastic laminate between each layer. It is HEAVY for no larger size than it is...
  4. My thoughts and prayers are with you Terry. I'm thankful you at least caught it when you did...
  5. I see, too, from your picture that this version has the staggered waist windows in it. That's a cool feature!
  6. Thanks for the pics, Chuck. I've seen pictures elsewhere and I'm very impressed with it. I fully intend to get one at some point in time. I've been a -17 fan since I was a kid back in the mid-60s when 12 O'clock High was a television series. I got hooked then and have never looked back. My wife actually gave me a super-cool Christmas gift a few years ago - an armored plate glass window that faced aft in the stinger-equipped Fort tail gun position. It's one of my most treasured pieces. They were majestic airplanes...
  7. Super clean build, Bruce! Very, very nice...
  8. It's looking great, as usual, Tyrone. I'm continually amazed at your building skill, but as with Chris S, I really shouldn't be, by now... Bring it on, brother!
  9. Killer job, Chris. You continually amaze me - and I don't know why. You've been doing it for so long I should be used to it by now...but I'm not!
  10. It's looking really good Tyrone! Lookin' forward to more updates...
  11. That is looking fantastic, Leonard. As Dave said, you have no need for luck - your fab skills will do you just fine...
  12. As already noted by a few others, if it weren't for a couple of the underhood shots, it could pass very easily for a 1:1. As Don, above, inquired, how did you get your K&N filter to look so realistic? That is one piece that truly gives it the look of a 1:1. Super nice build, any way you slice it...!
  13. I don't even know what to say, Chris to describe your car at this point. I can say that I'm tickled to see you starting the assembly phase. I'm looking forward to continued updates. It is just so cool to see the progress you've made on this and the pains you've gone to, to make it right.... Keep it up, brother!
  14. Looks like you made excellent use of the time that the MCM site was down... I really like this body, too, Tyrone. Looking very cool - as always!
  15. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing your redirected project Greg. I'm sure it'll be a killer build!
  16. Lookin' mighty good, Ray!
  17. Your driveline angle looks really good Chris, and your V-band is a dead ringer for the real thing. Super job, bud (but then that's what I expect now out of you... LOL)
  18. It's looking great Joe! I'm looking forward to more progress pics. BTW, your parts are going out today...
  19. Super job, Tyrone. You always do a great job, but you just keep getting better and better. Where's it gonna stop, bro??? Guess you're gonna have to move to 1/16th so you can add even more detail!
  20. She's looking great, Leonard. More pics of the strut front end, please...
  21. That looks super, Norbert! As many others have already requested, I'd love to see some pics under the hood!
  22. Chris, What are the two decals on the restored car that are located between the Cragar and RAC decals? They sort of look like Lee, but I can't confirm that. I trust you've got the decals from the kit so you should be able read them much more easily. I googled Lee oil filters and the company colors appear to be red and white. Are your filters supposed to be Lee units???
  23. Hey Mark, It was great seeing you yesterday at the Heartland show. I didn't have as much time to check out your Jewel T as I'd have liked, but it looks even more fantastic in the flesh than it does online. I can't want to see more updates! Scott
  24. I have no first-hand knowledge of this, Chris, but I'd think the brass rear body mount bolts would be a high grade, such as Grade 8, so I think the brass ones make tons of sense. That is based on nothing but my opinion, though...
