  1. I always label with a marker also,,so far so good,,one question,,is there an advantage to storing the bottles upside down? I may learn somthin here,,,
  2. Thanks so much,,you guys rock also. Ive always wanted a 1:1 Comet/falcon,,years ago I owned a 1:1 66 Stang, it had a 302 out of a 76 Maverick,,Hiback buckets from a 76 pinto,,mild build up on the motor,,slot alum mags,,and some custom air dam work on front ,,The small blk air catch tray just below front valence,,its angled upward at back of it to force air up from below,,{ as usual I cant just leave a car stock,,lol} These pics from Sears point raceway Northern Ca, on there track days event,,the lil 66 did pretty good on that track,,would have been better if I had lowered the car 3 inches or so. ,but the 60's era cars from the big 4 are so cool. They dont build em like they used to thats for sure. Enjoy the styrene!
  3. Thank you sir,,it turned out decent. Moebius did a great job on this one. Thanks for looking.
  4. Howdy folks,,Does anyone ever unbox a bunch of ol' kits just to dust em off,,and revisit them? I forgot some of the kits I did years ago,,this being one. Moebius did a great job with these kits,,it has so many possible versions one can do. I did a street/strip racer, I ,saw somthin similar to this,,1:1 at Woodward this year,,it was an orange color PS Comet. I added a rear spoiler/wing,,because all cars should have a wing of some type. Even minivans and volkswagon rabbits. So this one got one. and some x-tra bits,,tyres+ rims from the spare parts bx,,minor wiring and stuff. One of my fav kits,,,,Onward! Thanks for lookin.
  5. Thanks again,,I still wish I could get the rear glass somewhere,,im sure theres one out there,,just dont want to pay 30+$ for a new kit just for the rear glass Ive seen these kits in the hobby stores. Great kit,,thanks for lookin.
  6. Coming soon,,,,"Challenger X " Another glue blob resto from the swap meets,,,,
  7. Thanks guys,,enjoy your stuff as well. I remember where I got this kit,,it was from a swap meet years ago and it didnt have the rear glass with it,so thats why it dosent have the rear glass. it was a 1/2 built glue blob in a ziplock bag for 5$ lol. And I had to supply rims+ tires from the spare parts box also. Gotta get that styrene flyin! Thanks for lookin! Build on S
  8. tThanks Rusty,, I just realized,,I left the back window out cause it didnt fit quite right something in the molding of it. Thanks for lookin,,build on
  9. Nice racer,,as far as having to trim the interior,, may be easier w/a dremmel tool? Ive had to do the same thing to the last 3 kits Ive built, and had to straighten chassis twists as well.
  10. Why thank you sir,,all I did was tape off the bottom 1/2 of the body center line trim line,,and sprayed w/testors. The body unpainted plastic color is that light blue on lower. That quk dry enamel is great stuff,,can handle it after about 2 hrs. The engine still needs some feul feed lines to blower intake and linkage pcs on other side,,but its ok. Thanks for lookin S
  11. Happy summer all,,just goin thru some kits in storage,,and found this. Sprayed w/Testors qukdry enamel,,and did some added x-tras. Great kit,,went together very well,,and I dig this body style EC. Now all I need is the 1:1 car,,,enjoy your builds!
  12. Hi all,,one of my fav kits,,the 1/12th Lindberg Topolino,,with some x-tras. Sprayed w/Testors qukdry lime green,,diamond dust for the chassis. And some hand painted accents. Build on!
  13. Forgot the underside pic
  14. JB weld works at this,,its sets really slow so you have time to :set wheels straight propped up w/small paint bottles on outside of wheels to get a good 90 Degrees relation to ground surface. I just insert a moderate amount on wheel back pin outer and gently push it on. And at that point you have about 5-6 hrs to set wheel stance however you may want.
  15. Thnx FG14,, its a cool kit to have. Cheers!
  16. Hi all,,its labor day already,,wow summer went pretty quick as always. Hope you all are having a good one,, up for review is the AMT 68' Camaro,,this kit has been around for quite awhile,,great features come with this kit,,mine had some general tooling/molding issues,,but the wonderful folks at Round 2 were very helpful at fixing the issues. Hats off to them. I wont bother going into it all,,no need to really. At any rate,,things I added that didnt come in kit: larger back tires,,scratch built carb scoop from a ww2 airplane drop tank, leaf spring riser lift pads to allow larger rear tires,,additional engine bay details. Sprayed w/testers quikdry turquoise using white primer,,it turned out more of a mint green,,which is cool. I was going to put the kit supplied stripes on it,,but after mocking it up w/body on chassis,,I liked it better without the stripes. Hand painted the rim detail, +,interior 2 tone work. Other than that,,its a real basic kit,,and looks great on the shelf! Thanks for looking and keep up the great works here! 17. Heck yea! Thanks for the comments all. Would love to drop the clutch at 6500 RPM in this Torino,,,better yet install a Boss 9 mtr in it,,fiberglass quarters+ hood,,plexaglass windows ect,,make it a "lightweight" torino! I can hear tires squealin already! Thanks all ,enjoy everybodys works on here. S
  18. Thanks,,not the red tool box that the guy is posing on. That tool bx didnt come in the kit,,its from another kit. I thought about making a tire rack mounted on top of cab/ramp area,,but it looked good as is. Fun kit,,thanks again
  19. Thanks so much guys,,I wish it had the separate rear end and driveline + shocks,,but hey its from back when tooling,,but still a fun kit to,do,,, and now up on the bench,,,,,AMT 68 Camaro,,,,,build on!
  20. Thanks for the comments,,there was probably more I could have done with it,,wheelie bars, parachute,,ect but it looks decent with what it has.,,now on to my AMT 68" Camaro,,w/a blower motor,,whoo hoo! Mint green metallic. Thanks again Build on!
  21. Thanks guys,,you guys rock also,,many great works on here. Lookin at it now,,I should have called it "MR-T" instead. I was going to do window trim,,but it looked cool without it. One drawback of the kit is,,if you look at underside pic,,you can see the rear axle just behind the diff,,had to drill axle holes further back to fit wheel well centers,,and I cut alot of material to open the rear wells + chassis by leaf springs also. Forgot to mention,,the carb intake stacks are Revell 1/12 scale motorcycle exsaust tips. And the entire outer perimeter of chassis went on a diet,, dremmeled 1/8th inch all the way around,,so I didnt have to fight the body when installed,,it just "dropped" in after that. So,,its a cool one for the shelf,,gotta do a diorama soon,,,HUmmmm,,,,? Thanks for the views + comments ,,,,Build on! S
  22. I hear ya,,I have the 1/20 MPC AMX kit ,built,,and a old Johan Dragon Lady AMX + the Johan amc scambler built,,but AMC kits are kindof hard to find,,I also have an original Pacer kit from back when built,,yours is wild,,wish I could airbrush like yours,,maybe someday Ill play around w/it. And do the printing of my own decals off the web would be good also. Id like to do a pro Street Marlin,,with fat rear slicks,,and some hillborn injection stacks stikin out of the hood! Lime green w/a light blue metalflake inset down the length of the side body center. Thanks for the inspirations! Build on! S
