  4. Today I got my first frame parts. The quality is much better than the older parts like the Allision. Great stuff. In my opinion it is worth the money.
  5. Hi, I saw a model of Edsel Ford's 1934 Model 40 Special Speedster built by Pit Mostert from the Netherland a few years ago. He told my that it was a resin kit. But I don't know which company was it, eiterh Etzel or Herb Deeks? Any ideas?
  6. Tim, congratulations on that job. I had purchased the Allison engine a few months ago, this kit is great a litle rough in detail, but thats rapid prototyping. I think with the new materials that you offer you are on the right side. Speaking about the cost of a fully detailed 1/8 kit, you are over the price of the old Pocher kits. There is a company in Australia that offer a Ford Falcon XW GTHQ for about $1350 for a fully detailed diecast. So how is speaking about money? It will be exclusive so we have to pay. I think to offer packages is a good solution so that the modeller can decide how much he want to spent and how far he want to build the model. The chassis alone is a model for itself. There were some german guys who had offered a 1/8 Cobra during th late 70's/early 80'S for about $2500. But as far as I know they never sold a complete kit. If had that money at age of 18 I had to buy it. Also today its a lot of money to spent, but I'm going to order the first chassis parts. When do you think that the engine, transmission and the body will be avialable? Regards
  7. The '50 - '51 Mercury dashboard from Replicas Miniatures of Maryland looks to good to hide it in a coupe. Therefore I cut of the roof of Revell's 49 Mercury. But that not all I made a mold of the rear fenders of a 1/25 Hendrix Mercury Coupe and add them to the Revell body The taillights will be from a '54 Lincoln The new bumper is based on a bumper from the Hendrix '51 Mercury Coupe top - resin copy of Hendrix bumper middle - modified new bumper bottom resin copy of new bumper
  8. Here is my one
  9. Thanks to all of you. I have a Nichimo kit of the Shelby GT500 in 1/16 at home with a destroyed body. I want to ask my question again does TDR 1/16 MISS E body fits the Shelby GT 500 kit from Nichimo.
  10. Hi, does somebody has any information or pictures of this body. Does it fits to the old Nichimo Shelby GT 500 chassis pan? Michael

  14. This is my way how I make "Mexican Blanket". This is not my idea, I got it from some here in the states Materials you need: Sizzor Cleaning tissue for glasses Scotch tape Computer Paint program like Ulead Photo Explorer Printer 1. Google around for some mexican blanket and downlaod them on your computer. 2. Use your prefered paint program to rework the picture if required. 3. Take a sheet of cleaning tissue for glasses or other tissue. Make your own experiments to find out which tissue works best for you. 4. Cut it down a bit greater than the size that you need. 5. Place the dry cleaning tissue on printer paper and fix it with Scotch tape. Keep in mind that you put the Sctoch tape on those sites where you want to have fringes. 6. Put it into your printer. I use a HP Deskjet 959 C 7. Print the image. 8. Carefully remove the tape from the dried tissue 9. Now it is time to make some cuts for the fringes 10. Thats all I had tried Ken's method but I failed Michael
  15. This is a resin body. I'm not sure if it was from Flintsone.
  16. Today I got some flam mask from Lazy Modeller from Down Under. It is an easy job apply these mask to your model. They have flame mask for Tri Chevy's, '49 Merc and '32 Ford.
  17. My snowmobile is almost finished. Just a bit snow is missing. Any comments are welcome! Michael
  18. On this project I tried the first time Distress Crackle Paint. I first sprayed the wood strips with black ink and then I applied several coats of Weather Wood , Picket Fence, Old Paper and Frayed Burlap. To get a deeper apperance of the cracks I used black ink, which wasn't that what I want. You can see this on the two far left wood strips and the two smaller stripes. Therefore I used The Detailer Black to get a different look. This was used on all other wood strips. Any comments are welcome.
  19. I had done some more work on my Snowmobile Snow made out of Woodland Scenic Snow powder. Stay tuned
  20. Jeff, when will this cool thing be available?
  21. Here some more pictures
  22. There where some discussions about a different layout of the small wheels. Here they are: No thanks, I'll stay with my first idea Next steps: I had been working on the tracks. The small wheels will be from a 1/35 Willys Jeep. I Before you start a discussion this is a possible set up that I found on the web. It could be that the this is not 100% correct but the main issue here is the look. I alsp moved the skieds in a different position to get more clearance.
  23. Here a quick mock up of the tracks. The tracks are Churchill tracks from AFV-Club and a CMK VW Type 87 (Beetle) donors his sand tyres. These snad tyres will be change with some 1/35 Willys Jeep tyres from Italeri. The look much better I think I have to modify the skids to get more clearence between tracks and skis. To be continued
  24. Yes, I'm waiting for some 1/35 workable Churchill tracks from AFV-Club. Similar to this
  25. Here my newest project More pictures here Snowmobile Michael
