  4. Hi Peter, in Germany most of the modeling shows are military or aircraft dominated. THere are only a few car or truck modelers at these shows. We have 22 big cmodel car shows in Germany The Little Wheelies in Hannover or the The Frankfurt Model Car Show. Unfortunately the Hannover show will not take place this year but, Erich show in Frankfurt will be at the first weekend in October. There are a also few guys from Switzerland at this show. Another show is the Model Car Exhibition at the German Street Rod Association Nats in Weilburg (close to Frankfurt) on July 13/14, 2013. Because the real cars are mostly Rods and Customs the model car show has the same theme. I organize this show the first time this year. I'll keep you informed. One other excellent show (truck and car models) Europe is the On the Road Show in Jabeeke/Belgium. In my opinin the best show in Europe. Lots of people from France, Switzerland, Finland, UK, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Poland did I miss some other countries? This show is on Mar. 16/17, 2013 If your are interested in truck modeling you have to go to Gaydon/UK
  5. What about Germany? There are a lot of excellent model car builders. I'm member of the Modelcarlist Germany, a similar email list like Model Car List or Model Cars Unlimited. The battery is from Calanga Castings http://www.calnaga.com/index.html The roof rack is made out of wood strips and brass The starer realis is scrath build ( in the upper corner of the fire wall) Here a close up of Ken Hamiltons superb bomber seats. The seat belts are 1/24 early seat belts for USAF planes from Eduard These are sidemarker lights from KFS http://www.kitformservices.com The fuel filler door is from Model Factors Hiro
  18. I join this build. I will start with Tweedy Pie or The Beverly Hillbillies Truck as a base.
  19. Here some pictures of the intake. The Strombergs are from Model CAr Garage. The funnels are simple conductor sleeves. Here the installed engine. There is still some wiring and plumbing missing
  20. These Woodlites are horrible to paint. No paint works, I had rinse it in castrol super clear, the paint don't dry.
  21. Here some pictures of the finished body. I had detailed the heavy weld lines with bare metal foil and remove the paint with a rounded wood To get some minor comfort for the passengers I at some foam to the bomber seats
  22. Here is the link http://www.modelhaus.com/index.php?c=0&p=69897
  23. It had taken a while to continue with my Straight 8 Rod. I had used salt and hairspray for the rusty look. I'm not happy with the result. I had forgotten to protect the base coat with clear coat before I had applied hair spray. So the next step will be clear coat and salt again. The radiator is scratch build from plastic sheet. The fan is from Model Car Garage, while the mesh is from Kit Form Services.
  24. Awesome
