Hi Anne , well now your a true model kit addict and soon your home will be filled with kits top to bottom.Although I'm not sure its the healthiest hobby but
sure is rewarding in every way.
This 1955 Chevy was missing lots of parts so now being rebuilt as a gasser. Also its based on a 1:1 scale car called big thunder .So the body is mostly in red putty now since I shaved off all the molding lines.
Well I finely have some update pictures on the Econoline but still have more touching up to do.A few things like the bumpers and some window trim painting have to be touched up and or straighten.Finished product coming soon.
I'v noticed a trend going on that people call kit bashing.I just call it heavy mods since its great to build something different or rare and /or not ever made as a model kit. Now your response?
Hi everyone well been wanting to ask others why they stash kits? I have developed a issue with stashing kits for my workbenches. That way I always have something going on. So tell me what you do?
Just a simple question those of you that mod the frame .Do you leave the frame in its shorten state or do you add styrene to achive the original length?
I started building models when I was 10 or 12 years old and my first kit was a Revell 60's VW bug.The building went on for about 6 years then I stopped building models and at age 16 I started working on real cars.I did the odd kit here and there after that about in 2003 is when I started back into model building.Mostly building cars and truck I seen in pictures and at local vehicle events.I rather enjoy model building as I can relax in my man cave and build for hours .I have noticed that my building style has changed alot in the last 5 years or more do to seeing vids on youtube and being a member to many other forums it all helps us be great builders.
Well doing a major scratch build project I'm building a 60's Ford C 600 tandom axle truck with a scratch built Case excavator on the back will be mounted to the frame of the truck. The truck used in the picture is just for mock up.
Hey guys well another Ford pickup to my collection.I'm scratch building a 60's Ford Econoline Pickup.I'v done many mods to the body to get the proper look of this truck so have a look.
I too have sleep issues.I guess when you work hard all the aches and pains keep you up to no good .Being 4 to 5 hours sleep is all get on any given night so this gives me many hours of building and doing research for future kits.Someone should start a insomia model builders club .Haha
