  1. Wow thanks everyone for the great comment's, it's alway's nice to have your work complimented. Ken we do indeed like them layin frame here in Kaintuckee. Here are a few more pictures for you guy's. One of the aluminum exhaust tip and plate, another with the hood on and one of the engine bay in the early stages. Thanks again everyone.
  2. Thank's everyone, it's nice when other builder's like your work. Kevin here are some picture's of the interior, my favorite to date.
  3. I would love to have a Ghia, narrowed front beam and major camber in the back wheel's just the way you like Al haha thanks for the comment's guy's.
  4. I love it, I have seen quite a few of these Rocket Bunnies built and your's is a awesome example. I love wheel's and you have built a very nice set for this car. Great work EDIT: That Z look's nuts and where have I been...new Aoshima wheel's, I had no idea??
  5. This is a rebuild of a car model I built in high school, Revell's Acura Integra Type R. I worked on this for about three month's and I am happy with the finished product. First I know this type of car is not most model builder's cup of tea ,but I build what I like just as other's and that is what make's the world go round. On the body I wanted a clean simple look so I shaved the emblem's front and rear. I also did away with the horrible molded in wipers, the rear wiper hole was filled with a piece of plastic rod. I also did away with the spoiler and filled the holes. I had the local paint shop mix up Honda Tango Red Pearl which I decanted and shot with my air brush. Nason 2 part clear was used for my clear coat. The engine bay was cut out and replaced with styrene, 5 min epoxy and 2 part filler for the shaved and smoothed look. I also smoothed the firewall and filled the huge hole's where the hood hinges go. I made motor mount's out of brass and plastic rod, and all other nut's/bolt's were made of plastic rod and hex. The hood latch was made of cut up photo etch pieces and painted. Intake manifold, air intake and rad/fan were all modified or made of plastic stock. The wheel's are resin BBS mesh wheel's modified and painted Alclad and Tamiya acrylic's. The seat's are resin Recaro's and the belt's are detail master. I made the harness bar and c piller bar out of plastic rod. The interior is painted dark tan, custom beige/tan mix and leather. I am forgeting all kind's of info ,but if you have any question's ask. Thanks for looking
  6. I like the color, the stance is very nice.
  7. I would love to see your work in person ,but more pictures would be good enough for me. Amazing craftsmanship.
  8. I will be there with four builds again this year. I can't wait to see all the eye candy!
  9. Dang Dave if I find one that help's me pick out NP to paint my model kit's I might at least check to see if there is a rock on her left hand. I am going to have to give the NP a try, do you thin it and if so what do you use and what is the ratio?
  10. Wow that is wicked Dave, I always like your paint work. The air ride setup look's really cool.
  11. Take note folk's, large gloss black area and not one speck of dust on the whole model. The blackwash, different sheen's/texture's of paint make for a very convincing build.
  12. Amazing work once again Jurgen, I always enjoy seeing your build's. Thank's for the photo tip's.
  13. Your work is always very clean and well built. Color combo and stance is perfect.
  14. The Read Bros. work just amazes me, true craftsmen.
  15. Outstanding model David in every way, you nailed the look. Is this 1/16 or 1/25???, I am completely blown away by the pin striping, I have gone back and looked at it a dozen times already.
  16. You built a very nice model here, paint, BMF and interior are flawless.
  17. Thank's again everyone, it's refreshing to know you guy's like the flat paint. It was hard not to gloss it all up after the bodywork, but I had a vision and went with it. Here are a few with the Porsche just for fun.
  18. Thank's guy's, John you have completely nailed it in describing the goal when I modify a large or scale sized car...."clean".
  19. Thanks guy's I am glad you like the color also. I love how the Model Master metalizers lay down so I thought why not use them as base color's. I have done three, one with sealer as a overcoat(Porsche), one with gloss(Dodge Ram) and this one with dull coat. I think the flat color makes the Skyline look that much more sinister.
  20. Here is my take on the Skyline, mostly box stock other than lowered stance and wheels from a Tamiya race car(hints the center locking nut and no lug nut's). I also made a tow hook out of styrene and painted it gold to match the caliper's. I scribed and washed all the panel lines then shot it in Titanium metalizer with dull coat over the top. The interior is a custom mix of black chrome trim and gunmetal with flat red seat's. Thanks for looking.
  21. Holy whoa Marcos that is wicked looking, man I also love that gold..shame it's not available. I might post my skyline build later to go along with yours.
  22. This is why I love this site, I never even thought about the "stamp technique" for tires with raised letters. Thanks guys
  23. cool builds guys, I still can't get over that build psycho...the paint and graphics are perfect.
  24. I'm very interested in this Michael, I knew you had some straight line in ya just from the parts you make haha. I personally love the in progress look and the lines of the 64.
  25. Awesome build's Drew, I like them all ,but those two modern sprint car's are my favorite. Here is the Revell sprint car I built a few years ago.
