    MGB GT V8

Thanks Sonny, C1 Models offers a basic kit with the shell and rear interior in resin. The resin bodyshell is simply superb! There are a number of options to choose from including different dashboard lay-outs in both left and right hand drive and a pair of late door cards. You can also choose different wheels and an optional Webasto roof. He also does a lovely pair of 'Tex' door mirrors. This is the second build I have done. The first one was of the Frontline 50 LE car. I managed to get a pretty good replica of that beauty from the C1 conversion. P.S I don't have any interest in C1 Models other than being a big fan of his products. Atb, Steve.

    MGB GT V8

This is the C1 Models resin conversion for the Aoshima MG Roadster kit. It is modelled after a car owned by a friend of mine in the 80's. I modified the grill and interior to match the V8 version including addition of headrests and centre console. Paint is Aconite by Zero Paints and GX112 clear coat from Mr Hobby. Thanks for looking. Atb, Steve.
  3. Nice 'cuda. I like the colour combo, looks mean and ready to race with those steelies ! Atb, Steve.
  4. Very nice Mercedes SL. The colour looks great, I do love these old 50's Merc's, especially the headlamp arrangement. The kit looks well detailed and not at all like the Italeri kits I have had in the past. You did well to hide the damaged body shell. Atb, Steve.
  5. Lovely model, very convincing. I think I need to get one of these next time they get released. Atb, Steve.
  6. Gorgeous model. The paint looks superb, I need to try a candy finish one day soon. Atb, Steve.
  7. Really nice work. I do like them all but the Merc was a surprise, don't think I have seen that approach before. Atb, Steve.
  8. Both are fabulous models, love the opening doors, very inspiring. Atb, Steve.
  9. Thanks Claude. The base comes from Scale production in Germany and is a simple, but effective, resin slab. The figure is white metal and has a perfectly round post cast under her feet, you are quite correct, this allows her to be swivelled left or right depending on what she is looking at. Atb, Steve.
  10. Great looking 32, well done. Atb, Steve.
  11. Thanks Sonny. It's easier to contact Richie through this FB page, he is admin. F1 and Motorsport SIG (International Plastic Modellers Society) Atb, Steve.
  12. I do like this build, although it's a bit late in model year for my taste, the look you have with the colours and those wheels, wow! Love it Atb, Steve.
  13. The 356 looks lovely. Great colour combo to choose, very nice build indeed. I'm surprised that Fujimi hasn't repopped the 356 cabriolet and coupe kits more often. It seems the 911 series get an outing almost annually but the 356 kits has been a while now and second hand prices are quite high, at least in UK & Europe they are. Atb, Steve.
  14. Very nice build of the rally legend. I can see some very nice touches to yours, it's one of the best builds I have seen of this kit. I found the chassis difficult to fit into the body on the first one I did so ended up chopping some bits out to make it easier. I haven't built any of mine as a rally car but it is good to know the decals are top notch if I ever do. Atb, Steve.
  15. Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. I really did enjoy this build and the end result was just what I wanted. The figure was a white metal item I found at a model show here in the UK many years ago. One of our club members was a jolly good figure painter so I asked him to paint it for me, as a favour. He is no longer with us so the 'Bobby-soxer' has a strong sentimental attachment now. My better half said the scene would look better if the driver was in the car and she could be leaning forward to give him a kiss 😁 She is such a romantic sweetie. Atb, Steve.
  16. Nice result Nigel, you certainly got over the paint woes nicely. A classic colour combo for an early MX (Miata) Real ones are starting to pick up in value in the UK now. Looks great on those deep dish wheels too. I laughed when I read your comment about the CA glue, reminded me of a BMW Mini Cooper I built a few years ago. Ended up gluing the wheels to the wheel arch tops with 2 part epoxy πŸ˜‚ Atb, Steve.
  17. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you like the colour and my little street scene. I do wish I had bought more of those Modelhaus whitewalls when I could 🀨 Atb, Steve.
  18. Finished in pastel green with tyres from the Modelhaus. Pretty much oob and inspired by a picture in a book I bought back in the 90's. 'The Colorful World of Hotrods'
  19. Love your E type in that colour and the wheels really suit it, very tasty. I also thought the kit wheels were sadly lacking, the tyres were particularly bad in this kit. I'll definitely be changing the wheels and tyres when I build mine. Atb, Steve.
  20. Very nice looking rod, well done. Great tip on the headlight assembly, I just got finished with a Revell '32 Sedan and it was a pita wrestling with the lamp buckets. Definitely going to drill and pin the next time. Colours really appeal to me and I also really like colour coordinated detailing. Atb, Steve.
  21. Looks lovely. The white shows off the clean (non-spoiler) lines of the 911 really well. I think the Fujimi kits of the 911 are really nice. I've built a couple of the early RS models. Wheel placement can be a bit dodgy but you have nailed the stance with your mods, well done. Atb, Steve.
  22. Thanks Nigel. Richie does a couple of different bodies for the MkII. Both have the X pack style arches, one road style and the other based on the Grp 5 racers. He also does a resin bonnet (hood) without the sink marksπŸ˜‰. At the moment he is working on a rear wing Group 5 style. And also an RS2000 body with X pack arches. He can be found on Facebook on the IPMS UK F1 and Motorsport SIG.
  23. This is the third Belkits Escort I have built. Not one of them is out of the box, this one however is the most modified. My friend Richie makes resin kits and conversions in the UK under the handle Roaring Replicars and provided his modified floor/chassis/engine bay, rear seat, hood and engine/g'box. Wheels and front seats are from Scale Production DE. Paint is Dodge Sublime for main colour with some darker green mixed in for the RS stripes. Still have one more unbuilt in the stash but still pondering what style to build it in. Definitely going to have the resin mods though. Atb, Steve.
  24. The MGB is looking very nice. My mum had a '73 GT in dark blue and she loved that car. I am about 3/4 of the way through my second build of the C1 conversion and really enjoyed the builds so far. Chris is about to offer a Sebring race version which I have on pre-order and am really excited about. Looking forward to seeing more progress on yours. A little tip for you, I used the thin double sided tape usually sold for mobile phone repairs, to fix the glass panels in place, it works very well. The templates provided are really quite accurate and a testament to the attention to detail of these conversion sets. Atb, Steve.
