  1. Motor in the car. Firewall fits , dash fits. Lucky so far. Steering box is going to be a challenge but the rest is good. There should be enough clearance for the fan and radiator. Pretty happy with it so far.
  2. Here is the big block. Going to be a 4 speed car. Was going to leave it alone to build my friends car. Had to put a big block and 4 speed in it. Had to modify the exhaust manifolds . The angle was wrong. The big block came from the revell 66 el Camino kit. 18436572 is the firing order. Small block next to the big block. Here goes
  3. Thank you beeRS. Here is the firewall primed. Put the interior dash in and it fits.
  4. Cutting the firewall for the big block.
  5. Very Very Nice!!!!!!
  6. Thank you dbostream and Bobdude for the great comments. Fitting the Big block. Going to have to cut the firewall and floor area. Have some pics
  7. Words cannot describe it. Very very NICE!!!
  8. Thank you for the info. I agree the rear tires are too wide and need to reverse the rear halibrand wheels. The open frame is strange also. Cobra man your car looks really great!!!!! Thank you guys for your help
  9. I would buy all of them.Could not afford them as a kid. But I can now!
  10. 1955 Chevy. A Chevy truck color with more blue toner. Automotive paint solvent based with a urethane clear. The white is a very light pearl.
  11. Good morning. Can anyone give me a review of this kit? It is a AMT 1/16 427 cobra kit. Thank you.
  12. Here are some more pics for oldnslow. You know Codi , Years ago I was a total ford guy. Had a 66 shelby .Just sold it a few years ago. Ford had the total performance covered in the 60s . Drag racing, Indy car, f1, road racing. They had it all. But today I’m not one mark . I’m all over the place and in modeling it seams I have more gm cars than ford. Strange. Still love my fords though The Shelby pics are the real car sorry they are not straight
  13. Thank you Codi , oldnslow and 58 impala. I might change the direction of the power plant. I have a big block from a revell 66 el Camino kit I might use with a 4 speed. Took it to the model meeting last night. A friend said a big block might look nice in there. I believe he might be right. So my friend Kevin might be in for a suprise
  14. I agree with oldnslow, harbor freight
  15. Beautiful and well done!
  16. How about maroon? This is a great color for this car. Had a chance to buy a maroon 246 or a Porsche 914-6. I bought the Porsche. Silver with black interior. The 246 was always in need of something. While the Porsche was more reliable. But today I would take the 246 just because of those body lines. And I can afford the repairs. The cars were at Ferrari of Los Gatos. I believe the 246 and the p4 are the best looking Ferrari’s ever. But that is my humble opinion. Great choice of cars. The blue is very sexy also. I believe you can paint this car any color and it would be great. Just like putting different color clothes on Megan Fox. All would look great because of those body lines.
  17. Side view of the Nova
  18. Hello. Going to make a simple distributor. This engine is going to be very stock. Not going to get carried away like my Nova.
  19. The 2000GT took 1st at the model expo in alameda calif. Thank you Alameda Calif for the award
  20. Old car fan you cannot buff molotow out. It will dull out. But there is another chrome finish that I heard about and will let you know the results on that.
  21. Here is the real stance of the 55. Prefit suspension and chassis.. Prefit engine. Looking pretty interesting. Thank you dbostream and bobdude.
  22. Just love it!!!! I agree with Curt, great to see a F1 build! Fantastic job!
  23. Thank you kollefornia kid and bisc63. Your right bisc63, they did not fit very well at all. My buddy and I had to spend a lot of time fitting his doors, hood and trunk. I’m restoring a 65 mustang and boy they do not fit very well. My friend Kevin is a restoration guy. I’m at the production end of bodywork. We took several weeks after work to get things to fit with rewelding, solder and lead. But when it’s done it’s worth it. Here is the only major modification that I have to do. Make the rotors smaller to fit the American wheels.
  24. Thank you ismaelg and Superbird. Putting the motor together. Very stock. 265 with a automatic. Not really exciting but as a everyday driver this is what my buddy used. Had 4 wheel discs so it stopped well. When he got more money he was going to put a hi po small block with a turbo 400. But sold it before he did that. Still a nice car. Had around 225 hp. Had a 10 bolt rear. Not fast but reliable. A cool cruiser. Here is the start of the motor.
  25. Thank you Casey and Oldcarfan. I have not tried to polish it out. I will find out.
