  1. The motor and components are installed. Bumpers tomorrow. Bumpers have me worried. But gloves and a different adhesive might do the trick.
  2. If you make a resin motor, I’m in. Looks great!!! Not a sohc but this is in my friends 1970 Torino.
  3. Thank you 511 nova. Going to wrap it up hopefully this week. I learned that you cannot handle mototow chrome very much. Trying to fit the bumpers and they Looked like aluminum when I was done fitting them. Repainted them this morning. Going to use rubber gloves and I will let you guys know how it turns out.
  4. I really love pintos! Not a loser car to me. I bought a pinto at a post office auction for $800. Was white with blue interior with a postal number riveted to the dash board. They had 30 of them ,all in a line. With service records. Had that little jewel for 10 years. 2.3 with a automatic. Really like your motor and would like to see it in a pinto. Great thread. Thanks for the memories!
  5. Thank you Codi
  6. Thank you Deuces
  7. Getting closer to the finish. Interior is installed. Chassis is mounted, not much more to go.

  9. I have a question about flocking. What glue or adhesive does one use?
  10. Good morning. Did the chassis and mounted the motor.Nothing fancy here. No brake lines etc. just chassis black and a few painted parts.
  11. Skymnky721 you cobra look great!
  12. Let’s see all of your 1/16 scale cobras!!!
  13. Thank you 511 nova. I’m going to spray the chassis trim black. Painted the firewall and chassis. Not going to get carried away with the under carriage. No brake lines just engine detail. I was supposed to make this a easy build but got carried away a little with the motor. Here is a pic of what I have done today.
  14. You know Deuces that is a good question. But I figured that since it is a big block with a few more horses and more weight that the crossmember might help keep it straight and strong. The crossmember is not on the instructions. But included in the kit. So maybe it is only on the convertible. Great question.
  15. Laying out the chassis. Cut the rear wheel wells out to fit the rear tires. Put a brass crossmember for the transmission. The optional custom suspension is great! The stance is perfect. 1/25 cars usually have a very bad stance. This kit is very good . Put the exhaust in as you have to put that in before the cross brace and rear end. Have to modify the front of the exhaust to meet the big block exhaust manifolds. So far this is one cool kit as fit and finish is very good. I will do another. Not quite a tamiya kit but very close. I am impressed. Here is a pic of the chassis
  16. Thank you Deuces ,Thank you Modlbldr, and Thank you beeRS
