  1. Oh yeah!!!!
  2. 1970: Everyone had a part in it. Think about it. Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Plymouth, American motors. Buick, Olds(442),Chrysler’s, Ford alone was crazy! Mustangs: GT 350 and 500. Boss 302,429, Mach 1, engines 302(several stages) 351 winsor and clevelands( several stages). 390s, 428s , boss 429, crazy! My favorite year!!!!!!
  3. I have a question. Does anyone make a 1961 impala 2 door? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  4. Looking good. James Hunt would be proud!
  5. This is going to be great!!
  6. Great job! I love the maverick! Where did all the real ones go?
  7. Cool and honest thread. The MFH 1/12 Ferrari P4 just kicked my butt. had a few black eyes on that one ,and broken bones but survived it somehow. Very painful. Worth it? I guess but it is going to be a very long time before I do my 1/12 MFH Gurney F1 kit. Although....... everything else seems a little easier to build.
  8. Man this looks great! Great job!!!! Looks real. Have to love F1. I believe the engine was built with skill. Your a very humble man, because it did take a lot of skill to build the engine and trans. Again , great job!!!
  9. Fantastic, color combo is perfection
  10. Very Beautiful! I thought it was a real car
  11. Very very nice!!!!!!!!!!
  12. The red looks great. What kit is the Lola? Looks cool
  13. Raceronly that is really beautiful!!!! I’m going to have Neil look and see if he can do the decals. If he can I will get you a set.
  14. Here is what I have so far. Primed and needs more fitting and sanding. Still do not know what car to do. Decals are the problem. We have a club member that does decals so I might have him make the mecom decals. I like the blue on the car.
  15. Wow so many cars! Dan Gurney raced the Lola with a small block ford.
  16. Great pics and great build!!!! Really cool subject also!!! Super job
  17. Just beautiful Chris!!!!! Every thing came out great! It does look like it can fly!
  18. Man I’m learning a lot! I did not know tamiya made one either! Thank you guys for the education
  19. I’m doing the union Lola. Good kit but from the 70s I think . You will have to work at this kit. I do not know if it is undersized but it is fun to build and it looks cool. I put the kit wheels into the hrm tires. Using the rim from hrm and the centers from the kit. So far it’s a fun model.
  20. Love the Shelby drag cars. !!! The road race cars received the most attention but those drag cars were really fast and cool!!! Great build!! Did you make the headers? They look perfect. Did Tony Storer do most of the drag racing? As I recall he could barely see over the steering wheel. But he was fast! Cool build!
  21. Ok I played around with the hrm wheels. Put the centers from the union kit and it looks better for you purists.
  22. That is so cool! I did not know amt did that. As I research the Lola, there are so many versions that I am confused. I was reading that there are over 100 versions of the Lola T70. Most spiders, have rear flares and are restored to shiny perfection. Brian Johnson’s Lola is really cool. I even read that you can have them built again. So I have to figure out which one I would like to do. Or maybe my own “what if” car. I also saw the prices they are getting. Holy cow!
  23. Thank you Mr Obsessive. Thank you Gramps 46 and I did not know amt made a lola. Thanks for the info.
  24. Back on the build. The doors are tough. Do not line up. They need evergreen on the bottom to fill the gaps. I had to heat the plastic on the doors to get the shape. Primed but need more sanding. Just fitting the body. Did the right door. So far it is ok. If you do this kit , take your time on the doors. The right door took me a full week just to get it right. A lot of sanding and shaping.
