  1. The Gurney kit is really cool. I was offered a good sum of money for it. I sold it and bought the mfh cobra kit. It was a toss up between the cobra and the gurney kit. Since these are so much money I had to decide. Bought the cobra and really liked the build. I started the 917/30 but put it away for the cobra build. Now the 935 is the build I am doing. Sometimes life brings unexpected turns and my modeling is no different. The gurney kit it looks like a challenge, so I know how you feel. Chris Smith just jumps into the build and they turn out great. That’s what I like about him….not intimidated on a mfh kit. I look at a mfh kit and sometimes I break out in a sweat. I hope you build the gurney kit. Such a beautiful car. I have to really like/love the car on a mfh kit as it’s a labor of love. Thank you for the interest.
  2. John is alive and winning a lot of trophies. He was at the IPMS Nationals in Vegas. Talked to him for a few minutes. Very humble and very nice guy. He did take a lot of first place awards. I really liked his camaro. His bug is cool also. Congratulations sir
  3. Well this is not my cat. 5 of us went to Las Vegas IPMS nationals. Stayed at a rv park that had a cabin. This cat is the park cat and she was the best cat ever. We called her spru. Fed her. That’s all it took. But she wandered all over the park. She came back at breakfast and sometimes dinner. She made the trip great.
  4. Thank you guys for a super event!!!! The people were great, vendors were great and the builds…. Holy cow!!!! They were the best ever. The quality was extreme. Plus Vegas, very fun
  5. Hello Chris,…. the speed demon. Your 935 is stunning!!!!
  6. Yes Nacho Z , these kits are very hard. People think just because it’s expensive it should just fall together. Well not a factory hiro kit. Had a great modeler friend try a mfh 1/24 kit and said he would never do another. Not for everyone. One thing for me, the build does wear on you. I need a break every once in a while. I really love 1/25-1/24 the best. My friend Mark turned me to the dark side of the force with these kits. But the rewards are great. I was going to take a long break from them but I took my MFH cobra to the IPMS nationals in Vegas and took best Shelby. So it started up my mojo again.
  7. The jag is cool. How is the front end? That was a problem with the older mold.
  8. Thank you Nacho Z
  9. Well back on the Porsche. Went to the ipms nationals. Now back to play. Bought more masking tape and all of the stuff I needed to complete the Porsche at the vendors tables at the nationals. Since Chris is way ahead of us, I have a lot of work to do. Here we go. Fitting the doors and molding in the vents.

  15. Well the cobra went to the IPMS nationals. Did very good. Talked to John Teresi and Art Latski. They won a lot of awards. Both are very humble and great guys. Bought some things from Art at his booth. To be in the same room was a honor. The cobra won best Shelby. Shelby American had a bunch of extra things that went with the award. Thank you Vegas for the great fun and award. I also was lucky to win some other awards. A second place and 2 third place awards. Entered my pitts bi-plane , and it took 3rd. A plane , who would of thought.
  16. Took the cobra to the IPMS nationals. Here was the result
  17. Great event!!! Entered the contest and did pretty good. Met John Teresi, saw Art Latski. Bought stuff from Arts promodeler stand. Was able to buy all the stuff I was not able to buy with the covid thing last year. John and Art took trophies home. It was a honor just to be in the same room with them. Did ok for my first national event. The quality of builds are amazing. Was able to take a 2nd and 2 , third place awards. I was lucky to get the best Shelby award. Shelby American supplied a bunch of things to go with the award. A lot of fun. Great event! Will try to make the next year event. This is what I won. I was really lucky
  18. LOL!!!! There is a story about that. A very good friend of Mark and I , his name is Steve, said to me, “ I suck” when I won some awards at a IPMS contest. But it was in fun as Steve is a great builder. So our club has adopted the saying “ you suck” if your kicking everyone’s rear end.
  19. Great job Chris!!!!! Boy are we behind!
  20. Thank you sir. Ray that cobra is calling for you!
  21. Well just came back from ipms Las Vegas international show. Did ok. Talked to John Teresi and Art Latski. Super great guys!!!! They are very humble and the best modelers ever. They both had 1st place trophies. Well they both had several 1st place awards. To even be in the same room was a honor. This is what I accomplished today.
  22. Really NICE!!! Getting some things ready for the IPMS Nationals in Vegas. But after that it’s the Porsche project . Great job on your Porsche. As Mark said: Chris is kicking our rear ends !!!
  23. I’m hoping also. Lost a good friend and it really knocked the mojo out of me. Have not even looked at a model for several weeks. Looking at your build is very inspiring! Great job
