  1. Thanks guys. Not going to make it but will make DSC next month for sure.
  2. I swear every time you post an update with pictures, I swear out loud. In most cases, its the same word and its not repeatable here. This is truly glorious work Chris and you're really making good progress. Be sure to polish up that printing plate bracket before final assembly.
  3. That is way outside the box and looks like the perfect fit.
  4. You're really kickin' it Paul. Looks great.
  5. Thanks Dave's. Its getting closer to the finish line. There's a small model contest at Hobby Bench, one of the LHS, this weekend and I'm trying to get it done for that. It will be close.
  6. Picture missing above and post is not editable. Here's the missing pic. Thanks.
  7. Thanks for checking this build out guys. It's really appreciated. Had some extensive build time over the weekend and got the head and tail lights on and weathered a bit. I realized late Saturday that I never thought about the hood so far. Had to find on and make minor sanding adjustments to get it to fit right. It got two coats of flat red and matching weathering. Underside will get flat black with some weathering too. Next up is working on the windows. Still to do is to do a tow rope hookup in the front, a rear pipe push bumper and a bit of weathering of the chassis. Painted a helmet for the interior last night and it will need some detailing and a chin strap + buckle. Also need to finish the bed cover. http://i437.photobucket.com/albums/qq96/flyfshr/Scale Auto Builds/Willys PickUp/Headlights_zpse5bpeul6.jpg 'm hoping to get this done by Friday. We'll see.
  8. No I haven't. don't know enough about it. Guess I need to study up.
  9. Tim - any descriptive praise would be an understatement. I've run out of words to describe what I feel about your talents and this build isn't even close to being complete.
  10. Friggin' awesome Tim. And I suppose they'll work? There's that much detail in them.
  11. About time I got back to work on this one. Got some weathering done to the body using a mixture of watercolors and gouache paints. A bit more weathering to do then I need to make a tonneau cover, make windows, head and taillights, parachute and grill. Probably a few other small items.
  12. This thing is sure going to be a beast. Love the progress you're making Paul. Keep after it.
  13. I think I have a fairly extensive vocabulary and I'm completely out of words to praise your amazing talents.
  14. That is impressive set up Tim. Amazing detail and I like seeing how you did it.
  15. She a real beauty Greg!! Glad you found what you wanted and I can completely understand your scale one going back in the box. Enjoy your new-to-you ride, the box will wait.
  16. I think this is the wildest thing I've seen you build to date John and I'm totally digging it. How you take these flat plastic sheets and form them into something that has such voluptuous curves always amazes me. I'm in awe of your work once again.
  17. Yeah, I know Dave, I just don't like it so it got reshot with the flat red again.
  18. Here's how the fender looks. Not liking it.
  19. Dang inability to edit photos.
  20. Thanks so much Dave. I started sanding one of the front fenders last night and I'm not liking it one bit. Will have to go a different direction.
  21. Uh oh...I moved some PhotoBucket folders around and this si what I get. I'll post a few pictures of where I'm at now. Thanks for the comments and following along. I'm hoping to get this done for a contest this weekend.
  22. Well....my 'ah-ha' moment turned into a 'uh-oh' moment. I'm back to the hemi from the Bantam Blast. The chassis was set up for this engine and I'd need to redo it including striping the paint and repainting it. I'm looking for a good dual carb tunnel ram or I may just make one.
  23. I'll be there. Don't think I'll get anything finished to show though.
  24. NNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I'll come over and hand you tools if that'll help. Anything to get this on the show table at DSC or GSL or whatever show for this year its going to make it's debut.
  25. 3D scan the completed model with the body off and the body separately and have them 3D printed.
