  1. Those hinges and the entire assembly are the best I've ever seen fabricated. You never cease to amaze Tim. BTW - did you get me PM? I didn't see a response.
  2. Those are things of beauty. You're just a big tease, aren't you??
  3. Thanks Joe. Waiting on the rear rims that are getting redone before I continue.
  4. Nothing slips by you Niko. No short cuts. Good job.
  5. OK...now that is cool. I've always wanted to do a quick build up of this unique piece of history.
  6. After following your build thread John, I have to comment on your finished piece. It is a piece of model jewelry that just sparkles in the sun. Exquisite in every detail.
  7. Wow is that ever nice. I've not seen a Polar Lights kit look so nice. Well done sir.
  8. I feel the need to do another shop diorama because this one was so much fun. I have amassed a lot of parts since finishing this one.
  9. Well?? Did you get the drill press? I'd like to hear how you like it.
  10. Glad to see you're back on this one Niko. I've been missing your progress. Love me some fast Fiats.
  11. I have the artwork done for these decals and have had them printed from Chief Joseph. If you'd like a set, send me a PM and I'll get some sent off to the Chief to get them printed. Just pay shipping and $5 a set.
  12. This is really inspiring. Love the weathering and all of the little details that bring this whole project to life. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the welder. I made a working trouble light in mine so a sparkling welder would be so cool.
  13. Sounds like a great idea Rob. Having display space for a diorama is always an issue.
  14. Nicely done and congrats for working through your fitment and decal issues. Looks great. I like the extra attention to the firewall and fender well wiring. Nice touch.
  15. That's one bad a$$ Willys and you're off to a great start. What are you plans for paint and decals?
  16. Top shelf Darryl as I've come to expect from you and this one doesn't disappoint. Very well executed. I'm really liking the decals and paint scheme.
  17. Very nice build John. I love everything about it especially that its a Corvair.
  18. Any news on this epic build Mark? I'm glad you're busy with casting and updating your product line but on the other hand, it keeps you from working on this. We need to re-connect soon as I want to order some more of your items.
  19. Well fellas, I had to send the rear wheels and tires back to MicroNitro. I tried to drill out the lug nut holes and botched them up. I should leave these things to the professionals who have the right tools. I sent the tires so he could make the new four slot rimes fit the tires better. If you recall, I had to add a layer of printing plate around the diameter of the rim to take up some slack and also had to cut off some of the rim from the back because it was too wide. I'm kind of stalled until then, at least that's my excuse anyway. I could make the parachute and a few other small details I suppose. A while ago I came to realize the final assembly will be for the finished body to go on and then the rear subframe after that. That took some small engineering so the subframe would mount in the proper place. I did get the subframe shot with gloss black and then shot with Alclad so I haven't been a complete slacker. Stay tuned....same channel, same station.
  20. Oh yea. That came out great Joe. Looks mighty fine sitting up there in the air. As you say, it takes a different mindset to work with a new material and it looks like you made the switch quite easily. Congrats. Hope your turkey day wasn't filled with too much stuffing.
  21. Just to let you guys know, this dio isn't finished yet. I've built a base, covered it with grass and made a few pine trees from a natural fiber furnace filter that I cut into shapes and stacked on a tapered dowel. Here's few pictures. The edges of the base need to be sanded smooth and painted along with a few more small camping related items added.
  22. Thanks for clearing that up brother. Makes sense to me. Will you be getting some concentrated bench time in over this long weekend? Hope so, I need a Army F/C fix.
  23. OK Jeff, we've been patient long enough for some progress updates on this beast. Any more of your mad skills on this one?
  24. Now that is some engineering my friend. Looks sharp.
