  1. Thanks so much Manny. I really appreciate you following along.
  2. Thanks lil' brother John. Charlie - be great of you to make the trip. Hope it works out.
  3. A bit done this weekend but not much. I made a wooden soda crate to be used as a step. Made from basswood and printing plate strips and hand lettered the label. Needs a bit more weathering especially on the bottom. Progress is slow but its still progress.
  4. I need an Army Vega Funny Car fix 'cause I'm goin' down. What have you got for us Chris?
  5. Thanks for the comments guys. They're really appreciated. I hope to get more done this weekend. Thanks for checking in Gregg.
  6. Don't think I've added to this amazing thread. Some great builders on here. glad this thread resurfaced. It's one of my favorites.
  7. Lovin' these Darryl. Thanks for posting. Your work is spectacular.
  8. Oh my word, I have no words. Amazing through and through. John, you're killing it!!
  9. I really need a SideWinder fix lil' brother and you're the only one with the remedy.
  10. Very nice Bernard. Thanks for bumping this thread. its one of my favorites.
  11. Ok, its not quite eleven so I'm a bit early. Here's the base with the trees in place. The trailer is right about the spot its going to be mounted permanently. And here's a picture of the strut. One more of those to go I was hoping to get a bit more done this three day weekend but it was not to be. Thanks for your interest and comments welcome.
  12. I got the base done to where I'm satisfied with the varied colors. I mounted the trees and have been playing with the placement of the trailer, table, chair and fire ring. Then my grandson thought it was cool so he picked up the trailer and repositioned it after he snuck in the hobby room. I was lucky that he has gentle hands. I also decided I didn't like the way the hinged 'lid' was held open with a pole all the way to the ground so I built a strut. Much better, now I need to make another for the other side. Pictures at 11...
  13. Very well said Ray and I couldn't agree more. I don't know how he does such exquisite work in the short amount of time he does it in. That thing is killer!!
  14. That motor plate fits like a glove. Are you planning on putting some holes in it for the motor to benefit from the cooling attributes of the fan? Lovin' this build.
  15. That's it...I'm officially out of drool. Way to go John. I'll have to stock up next time I'm at the store. I'll also need some for your Novak bike. This is spectacular and I can't believe its only 1/25th scale.
  16. Just drank 3 cups of joe while reading every bit of this thread. Now I want to see some more. The last chapter of this epic build is missing.
  17. I'm completely and utterly blown away by this creation of yours lil' brother. I can't believe I've missed this thread. I just went through it really quickly by only looking at the pictures. I'll go through it again tonight and read every word as I want to know the details on making the details. Outstanding stuff John. We're not worthy.
  18. WOW!! I'm visually impressed with your musically inspired assortment. Just need a few scale band members but after a bit, they'd probably break up.
  19. Very nicely done Paul. One of my favorite funnys. Gotta get mine down off the shelf and do something with it.
  20. Now back to our regularly scheduled program....finally a bit of progress. I sourced some Static Grass locally and was able to get the trees covered as well as the base. The ground cover is a few different colors along with a bit of the Static Grass. Once this was done, I went to take some pictures and it appears my camera battery won't hold a charge. Guess its time for a new one as I must have worn that one out. :-) Here's a few pictures from my phone which doesn't allow any details or close ups. I still want to add a bit more variety to the colors on the base before mounting the teardrop, the trees and everything else.
  21. John...you are a magician. That is expetively gorgeous!!
  22. Brilliant!! Looks great lil' brother.
  23. I'll chime in here too. Go BIG.
  24. Yup...tomorrow's the big day. Have a great birthday lil' brother.
