  1. I was thinking this looked a lot like the Garlits rail. Now I think I need one myself. Nicely build lil' digger.
  2. Those are really sweet builds John. I can see why you just had to fulfill your grail and do these up right. Congrats on following it through to the end. That must be really gratifying to have these up on the shelf. Any others on your 'grail' list?
  3. Nicely done Rob. That trophy was well deserved.
  4. Now that is one sharp build. That is one of the nicest Black Widow build ups I've seen and I like you carbed it rather than the FI.
  5. I'm not sure what you did to fix the gap but it looks so much better. I noticed in the earlier photos, the back of the manifold was parallel to the back of the engine and neither one of those were perpendicular to the block. Is this still the case? Rock on Chris.
  6. That is a store bought piece. I've seen them at the LHS on occassion.
  7. Gorgeous!!
  8. Thanks guys. I really appreciate the positive feedback.
  9. Willys.....brain.....Willys.....brain.....it just keep repeating over and over.....Willys.....brain.....Willys.....brain.....Willys.....brain.....Willys.....brain.....
  10. Well, I started this a number of months ago and it morphed into a complete campsite with a campfire, camping furniture, flyfishing equipment, etc. As it sits, I entered it in Desert Scale Classic this past Saturday. I have a bit more to do to it including a new base with grass, bushes and trees. I also want to add a few more items to the camper. The entire camper is scratch built with the exception of the frame, it was an off road motorcycle hauler. The shell was made with sheet styrene and the hatch hinges are from the lHS in the dollhouse section. The entry doors hinges and fridge hinges were made with aluminum printing plate as was the counter cover. The table and chair were fabricated with basswood and piano wire, then stained and aged. The bed cover was done with my printer on fabric paper purchased at Michaels. Here's a few pictures. 11. Dave - I was looking forward to hooking up with you. I'm sure you were there most of the day as I was. How did we not meet up?
  12. Yeah, that was fun. One of the many highlights of the day. BTW - I like your new avatar.
  13. Thanks for the photo link Paul. I swear there's a few of those builds I didn't even see on the tables. It goes by waaaay too quick.
  14. Thanks so much Greg. Also a big thank you for the resin parts. As you and I spoke, some of your Master Caster parts are on this build. I really appreciate the quick turnaround time on them.
  15. That is top of the shelf stuff Art. We missed you this year at DSC. Would have loved to see this one on the Project Table. Would have liked to reconnect with you too. Hopefully next year you can make it.
  16. Sorry I didn't get to hook up with you Jim. Maybe next time. Ray - sorry you were unable to attend. you should look us up on one of our monthly meetings.
  17. Thanks for the accolades Danno. Very much appreciated. I really enjoy building these out of the ordinary builds. Now I gotta get back to my Scout Truck that was on the Projects Table.
  18. The meeting hall was packed with builds, vendors, spectators, buyers and onlookers. The back room even had to be opened up for a few more vendors. Cactus Car Modelers really put on a show. Thanks to all in attendance and for hosting. A great time.
  19. And a few more to follow.
