Tom - this is excellent. The layout and floor plan is just like the one in my hometown in southwest Iowa owned by a friend of mine's dad. We spent a considerable amount of time there as kids but that was long before 1977.
Looking forward to following along on this journey.
Yeah it is pretty cool. That is the Mura Bros. Willys P/U built by Tim P. Unfortunately its not part of the dio, just in place for demonstration purposes. The buildings were built by Tim and a few others.
This little sweet combo was crafted by Walter Urban. It was just finished up and still needs to be shipped.
More pics when they come in. Thanks for your interest.
Here's a couple more vehicles for the parking lot.
This gorgeous '55 was built by Larry Davis. Still needs its driver's side door handle.
This little gem was built By Tim P.
More pics to follow.
John - I'm only building small parts for it. Every bit of this dio is being and has been built by members of the Straight Line Modelers group.
One day, I sincerely hope we can show it at DSC, just not this year.
Here's the office with its functioning sign.
Thanks for allowing me to get the word out and spark up some interest. Again, if you're attending MASSCAR, stop in and say "hi."
I'd like to share a few pictures of this dio in various stages of completion. Its never really all been assembled together so take that into account when viewing these pics.
