Still goin but its gettin there
-
Started this little dude last night. very scary trying to get it into this shape due to the brittle plastic but it's there. So far the channel and wheels will be the only changes made. Got her channeled the height of the rails and Managed to do so and still keep the original interior by only raising the floor. Not sure how the exhaust works yet but am going to try to keep the kit exhaust too. On to a few starter pics . . . . And now the pic of the truck when I got it So some of yas can cry ..... Yes this be a Monogram Blue Beetle ... Still has the pretty Cadillac script on the valve covers and all...

Got a bit more done in mocking up the Roadster. Modified the AMT millwith revell soup up parts still goin at it trying to get it right. think the only modern touch this one will have is an electric fan. Couldn't run the stock style fan with the channel.

Couple More of the Camper
-
Bob yes 100 % sure. the box says Motormax on it and the Camper and Pickup both have it on the bottom. As far as the Pickups accuracy ... I have no idea It looks like a Chevy to me. Like I say the Camper is hollow. So those of us with some skill can open it up if we desire. It seems majorly oversized for the 66 but fits the rear of my F250 like a glove. Only issue with a longbed is the storage or whatever that is on the side near the tail. First pics are of the pickup This one is the Pickup and Camper to show it looks way too big in it. I don't doubt the Pickup can pull it based on stories m Grand dad told me of a truck like this It just looks funky lol

Today I got an AMT 29 Ford. Didn’t take long to begin “fixing “ it lol Kinda thinking its an old old issue by the way the plastic cuts… ya know ya try to cut and pieces break off instead of curling away?? Well anyway I made short work of making a Not Rod pile lol. Here’s where it sits as of now. This is what I started with The Rods spoke The Rods Approve

Box says 1/24 One I pulled the Tailgate off my Revell 250 it set right in

Was in Walmart today and found a few Motor Max set there was a couple of Pickup trailer combos with a car on the trailer. Then there was this, a 66 Chevy and slide in camper For 20. Camper needs some working and is hollow inside but is a good start I think.

Just received this old 29 from a fellow modeler and I’d like to find a bit more about it before it moves on to its final destiny of being a Rod. Now before I get the why cut it up and such let me say this. It’s not the best of builds so I think it’s a prime candidate. I’m told it’s the 29 fro he Ala Kart double kit. Now whether it actually came from that kit I dunno. What do I need to look at to actually date this old car. So far I can see its molded in white plastic and has wire axles. What else can I look for in disassembly.

I wanna see yalls 34s I have an Amt 34 5 window street rod. I'm fond of the fenderless channeled look on my rods but am kinda stuck on this 34. I got the body channeled down some my go lower. where I'm having an issue is the Grille. I want to keep the 34 grille. I could take the easy way out and run 32 grille but that is no fun and not the look I want with a 34. Only way I can see this 34 grille working is with the hood top and sides but the shape of the sides clash with the frame shape. Can I get some pics of your 34s fenderless and channeled with or without the hood. Must have the 34 grille lol if ya have a hoodless setup could I get a pic of how the grille and radiator is setup ?

Picked up the AMT Phantom today Come to find its a 76 here on the site but didn't find any answers to my other questions. First Question I have is its Accuracy in looks. Is the body Fairly accurate ?? It looks "right "to me but I'm not a van expert and these aren't too common around here. Second is wht scale is this thing ?? I set its body along side a diecast 04 which is supposed to be 24tth and most of the deminsions match up. Only real difference I see is the Wheelbase. And that Wheel base is my last question for now was there a van that short back in the 70s? or are my eyes playin tricks cause I'm looking at a new E series??

The filling out the clothing for the correct shape could be done easily with some crafty hidden wires. The hard part is supporting said clothing somehow tho maybe a wall or some sort to suggest he is leaning against it might be an idea. this way the clothing is supported in a believable manner yet you'd be able to clearly see inside it to see no one is inside. Could even pose it to show him sitting in a chair or a park bench

Wondering has anyone combined the AMT 61 Ranchero and the AMT 66 Mustang fastback Altered/ Gasser to make a Ranchero gasser. I have both kits and while I'm a Mustang Freak something about the altered WB just don't look right to me. It dawned on me last night that a Ranchero I recieved might just look BA as a gasser. It seems to me that matching the Mustangs race frame to the Ranchero length is fairly simple and I'd obviously have to do some cutting to the bed of the Ranchero maybe even radius the rear wells. Has anyone done this combination? Any pics of said combo either with the lengthened frame or altering the Ranchero to fit ?? Any thoughts otherwise on this? I am a big boyso I can handle anyones true feeligs/ thoughts about this.

Aftermarket Dually rims any out there?
Rick Schmidt replied to Kaleb's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I made a set of rims for my F250 using a set of the rims fro the So Real swampers I removed the tire cut the center of the rim out and placed it n the positon I wanted it in. While doing so I thought how cool it'd be to get another set and only cut the centers from 2 loose leaving a pair wide for dual tires for a dually And at the price of less that 10 a set a bit of timeand digging new tires from te parts box Ya can't beat the results -
