Info on a Mercedes kit
Rick Schmidt replied to Rick Schmidt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yea Jonathan I dunno what happened there I got the pic fixed tho -
I just got a built up Mercedes SL I thought itwas a Tamiya when I seen it cause I had found this box art But when I got the car I discovered it was a bit different. Mine don't have a seperate engine its a curbside. Also mines roof is molded on with the body It has an odd patterned decal on the seats and was molded in grey. Can anyone possibly tell me what kit I have and what year car it represents ??

KIT REVIEW SUGGESTION
Rick Schmidt replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'd have to agree on pics of the sheets or the sprues a review is useless without any info to tell how its built and such Are ya refering to the shortened url in his post ?? That's not using a shortener thats the forum shortening the url. Can even see it in Greggs post. -

Not sure which wheels to get...
Rick Schmidt replied to brodie_83's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Chrome ones mimic the 03 Cobras Annies pretty well http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/products/Mustang-SVE-Anniversary-Wheels -
Lawrence it looks great to me. I see ya had an issue on the front bumper, but that is a hard area to get right with having to paint assemble the car then attach it. I too prefer them without the stripes, and theres not a thing incorrect about not having them. It was an option to delete them on these

I might get jumped for this but dare I mention the Chat room is again broke ?? Or was it turned off again cause someone was bad ??

good lookin builds. Only question I have is I thought the Pussy Wagon was an earlier Chevy truck ??

Finished this one up last week but my camera was down so I had to wait to post him up. It's the AMT 91 SHO that was boxed as a Rescue 911 car. The police kits of these cars still contained the stock parts so it's a near out of box build. Only mod to the kit is the rear suspension set up. AMT fixed the front ride height between the 89 and this issue ( dunno when ) but they left the rear at its truck high height. The adjustment is a simple cut material out type. Figured while I was shooting the 91 I'd shoot the 89 with it.

Not a bad idea for a build. Dunno that I can get in because the whole "parts box build " has to hit me Not great at sittin here trying to think of something. The car has to speak to me and tell me what to do .... This car shows ya that to be a Parts box build doesn't mean it needs to be ratted out rusted or ugly. We'll call it a little inspiration for those who think they can't get in cause they don't do rat rods. This car came from a glue bomb vintage build. It was built into a street car using another bodies front fenders, interior from the parts box and a diecast that gave it all. the engine even has parts box stuff on it to get just the right look. Bout all thats left of the original kit is the body glass and trim. rverything else was scrounged up http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d143/midknightx5/78%20Mustang%20II/

Fox Chassis (Ford) community build anyone?
Rick Schmidt replied to whale392's topic in Community Builds
I'd love to have a 2.3 T for my 82 I was almost to the point of going to North Carolina to buy a Turbo GT car was a basket case and had title issues if I remember right but had the complete 2.3t in it. Wouldn't have been as much power as I'm gonna have now but to sneak up on the ricer bois woulda been worth it lol -
Tamiya....lets get it right.
