  1. My take on Rat Rods exactly. Its one thing your building on a budget So maybe your car don't have a full interior ... or she's runnin primer, or even a combo of primer and mismatched body panels ( from the same type of vehicle ) . I can even deal with a Mismatched wheel. But to purposely make your car look like Boo boo just maks no freakin sense to me
  2. I stand corrected here ..... those aren't 4 eye Quarter glass. They are way to flush to be 4 eyes. Those are the correct for 88 Aero glass with a cover over the rear section mimicing an SVO Sail panel
  3. I dunno 4 Eye rear glasses and SVO sail panels don't disqualify it as being real just not original. lotta Fox guys use Aero glass on the 4 eyes so whats to say it was the other way around ??
  4. As big a Mustang guy as I am I gotta say ..... the Barracuda beat the Mustang off the line as a Pony car ..... We oughta be callin our cars Fish cars lol
  5. Ok so I'm messing with a Monogram 79 Cobra Mustang with a Turbo 4 I'm looking at the instructions and something catches my eye. The Dizzy is attached to the back of the valve cover ........ Why did Monogram think it went there ?? I can't be the only one who has noticed this odd thing. Any of yall built this kit and realized the same thing I did ??
  6. Dave I agree about the street freaks. I kinda look at them as the original Street Machines. Guess that also ties Gassers into the same category too. I don't see em as killed off..... they simply evolved
  7. I have the shock and the missing pipe too. I didn't realize it didn't come with a bumper. .. I may change that I know what the car is suppsed to be but dangit if it don't look goofy without the rear bumper lol. Don't look like the original builder is turned up yet. Thought i'd give the wide huge internet a shot always a chance he or she is out there surfing
  8. Thanks for the box art Casey. Now i can peep at an instruction site see what parts i'm missing. Now if we can dig up the little" barn finds" original owner lol. That is my biggest curiousity with this car cause it seems someone had reference material for it
  9. Just picked this car up in a trade. It seems like a pretty decent build up. So I am curious if anyone here might recognize this car Its a Monogram 66? GT350 race model done in a white with a black interior. The trim seems to be foiled. The Engine block is black with silver valve covers intake and exhaust. The Alternator has a painted on band where you'd see the seperation on a real one. the Belt has red lines painted onto it and the plug wires are actually real thin black wire. The underside is red primered on the drive shaft radius arms and steering parts there are factory type paint dabs. On the driver side of the interior tub is the date 8-18-94 so I assume thats when it was built. Just curious if someone here either built it up or recognizes it. It's not often I get a built up and decide to leave it alone but I'm really thinking about lettin this one continue to be as is. Also just remembered I should note the little oddity I found in it. Behind the mesh grille was a AMT 66 Mustang grille ...
  10. Well I'm ready . Yall aint gonna catch me and steal my fuel. Got a Bown Cammer under... um through the hood lifted the suspension so I can go off the road runnin and if ya get too close behind or beside me you'll find out just what that Air cannon has in those double barrels. Stole the Engine from a lil mixer kit cut the hole in the hood myself wasn't as hard as I thought. Added headlights in where the grille is missing and swapped on the custom tail end. the inside is the kit tub and dash but swapped to rhd ... just for S&G lol. Has a rollbar over the driver seat The scoop on the rear window is for airflow into the cockpit. The Air cannon is from the Ecto 1 and I have a couple of barrels and a tank in the rear for fuel
  11. Got some more done on the Night Runner Mustang tonight. Got some paint on the body and interior, lights are mounted. Since it runs a lot at night I busted out its grille and trim and set in another set of lights. Got a Heavier bumper up front for pushing things out the way if needed. Decided to lift the front end up in case it had to run off road. Can't be runnin full speed and dig its nose into the ground lol Still gotta get the insides done and get that nasty Cammer belted out and such ..
  12. Looking good so far... gotta say tho something seems familiar bout this.... hehehehe
  13. Well my plan changes slightly .. I eyeballed a Blown Cammer hehehe Been figuring out fuel tank placement also gotta have plenty to keep it moving
  14. Alright I'm not too worried about Zombies Tho if the random Zombie shows up I'll deal with him. I'm more concerned with All these Maniacs running around looking for Zombies in their machines. I realized these wild and seriously heavy Machines are gonna be Fuel Hungry. and some of thoser Maniacs might do anything to anyone to get fuel. So I am building a Mad Max type car. Found an old early 70s Mustang and am adapting it to my survival needs. Gonna have a Boss 429 with a nice blower on top. The cars main use will be on Roads but will sport a slightly lifted stance in the event I have to go off road at speed cause ya never know one of yall Might get after me and I might have to go off road to get around Stalled or wrecked cars. Ok enough yammerin here's a few pics I still aint charged my cam so we'll have to settle for cell phone pics Don't worry bout the missing Light I have a few kits coming soon and said light is in the mess.
  15. My 58 had been missing her hood trim until a fellow modeler supplied me with a new one. Until then I was debating either building a Camaro to make use of the damaged nose or building a slightly narrower than the car door area and a fat guy. .... Pretty sure anyone in this thread knows what those builds would look like hehehe
  16. Ok I was originally gonna do a Pete tractor.. but tonight I was eyeballin some Mad Max and decided I am gonna do up a car similar to the Interceptor. I'm not too worried about Zombies.... I'm worried about you guys and your thirst for fuel!! Hehehe. I don't have an aussie Falcon so I am starting with a 73 Mustang and an idea. We'll see where it goes from there.
  17. Would it be against the rules to start with a built and complete vehicle ???? just like we'd do in real life
  18. Maybe I do come from a newer generation .... I guess ya gotta be newer to know to look over the box to see possible options ( which have been on boxes since the 60s by the way ) and to also inspect the box for possible damage that would deter me from taking it to the counter.
  19. So you'd simply grab a kit only looking at the box top? I found it kinda hard to not notice all the printing on the bottom of the 61 box. Maybe I'm odd for looking at all sides of any box I am considering buying.
  20. Too late already got it hehehe. Only problem i have with the whole kit is. ...... the 61 ford is kinda ugly lol. Aint gonna stop me from buildin it tho.
  21. Anyone have any pics of the real Dragula thats not a colorized 60s pic or a replica? That seems to be all I can find I'm sure someone has had to have seen the real deal and taken at least one pic of it if it still exists.
