  1. I have the same kit. Which P/E set did you think was better or did you need both??? thanks, joe.
  2. The new Camaro does not float my boat but if they would do a 1/12 427 Shelby Cobra, i would think they would have a worldwide winner. joe.
  3. About equal to just one of my two kids private college educations (even with scholarshiips). If i could only figure out which one to cut off i could get one. I truly doubt if it will be a classic. Just a limited edition. Still,, i hope Revell does it. joe.
  4. My two sets shipped last Thursday from HLJ. I will be happy to let you know my opinion when they arrive. Hopefully this week. joe.
  5. The Fujimi kit has a set of chrome and a non-chrome set of wheels. joe.
  6. Hey Doc, given what you put into it, it could have gone either way. This one is beautiful. joe.
  7. I made a similar comment but in the following context: Military modelers demand accuracy and at least 2 dozen aftermarket makers jump in to make the correction set and or additional detail. Car modelers don't get that same treatment. Why isn't front suspension more accurate. For that matter, what about the firewall and sidewalls of the engine compartment, can't anybody cast that for us?? We get wheels and decals plenty but that, in my opinion, appeals mostly to the customizers. What about factory fresh guys who want accuracy. my guess is we do not get this kind of aftermarket attention because not enough will pay for it. joe.
  8. i am still waiting for the full resin body from Historic Racing Miniatures. I have read that this could be a long wait. the resin body has a removeable front clip and several other corrections to the Revell body. I just hope my Scale Motor Sports carbon fibre and photoetch fits the resin body. joe.
  9. I ordered the Hobby Designs 1/12 brake and detail sets for the big Enzo. HobbyLink Japan has them both. joe.
  10. Incredible coincidence! I am looking for a caster. Thank you, Joe.
  11. Anybody want buy a fujimi?
  12. That has a serious, kick butt, no mercy look!

    ZR1 Corvette

me too. It is two part with a yellowish undercoat. that means you need that orange top coat to go on E-V-E-N-L-Y. I want a few more airbrush finishes under my belt before that one!
  14. Those are the words that guide me along with the following, it is not a race and fix your mistakes as you make them. What kit is the Lotus? I would really like a Turbo Esprit. thanks, joe.
  15. The key word here is new. The only armr came fro repopping Renwal. They have had a few new planes. The put several times more new cars than planes, in my opinion. joe.
  16. That is funny because over on the military side they say cars are the bigger market. Just ask why Revell doesn't bring out a new plane, tank or ship. Everyone says Revell's market in the US is cars! Joe.
  17. Are there any 69 or 70 GTO conertibles? Hopefully in 1/25? Thanks, joe.
  18. You get what you pay for (sometimes). I want detail and accuracy and i will pay for it. If higher cost kits will kill the hobby, then it is not worth it to me to have the mfrs do so. I come from the 1/48 airplane group, we have costly kits and the avg age on the forums is at least 50! The strangest thing about the car hobby is the relative lack of aftermarket. If cars were planes you would have way more resin engines, resin engine copartments, whells and tires. Our photoetch a/m is not even close to planes and ships and they do it in scales MUCH smaller. I don't get it.
  19. If this is not a Foose-only thread, my choices are 68 Muztang conv 71 mustang 1/12 cobra 427

    Drop test!

There is probably one of those in the history or future of us all! I know that is little comfort but it lookef like a great factory stock build and it deserves another shot! Joe.
  21. You did not say if you do factory cars or customized cars. I think you probably have to wait longer into the build to judge if it is coming out as planned. I treatt each piece and assembly as a kit. If it is not whst i want at that stage, I stop and fix it then. Of course i do not do customized versions so i don't have to wait before i know if i am going to be satisfied.
  22. Geez, nice job on the top removal. For those of two chicken to cut the top off ourselves i wish they made a convertible of the '69 GTO. joe.
  23. I hope to see more also. I would love to see how this one ends before i buy both kits!!! joe.
  24. thanks Charlie, those might have been my first two kits which i did not prime. joe.
