  1. Cool deal! Dont see those on the road much anymore, unless its at a drift contest. That looks like a turbo happening. Or did they use big radiators in those things? What are the seats from, did they come with that kit? Can't wait to see what you do with the motor, if memory serves me correct they were pretty plane jane maybe with the cover black or something, are you gonna flash it up at all?
  2. Oh yeah, i'd like to see more pics too. Keep us updated this thing is awesome!
  3. 32 chevy truck fresh out of tank and painted.
  4. Thanks alot Paul I appreciate it. Your wheels look great, the whole model looks great actually, thanks for posting it. When yur making your templates are you laying the rim itself down on something and then tracing and around it and cutting something out? Oh on rims and tires like that they are not seperate so I guess I could measure it out and use a ummm what are they called (one end has a point and the other you put a pencil in and make your circle)? lol I cant believe I forget what theyre called. Thats the only idea I have of making a template so far. I cant wait to get an airbrush, i'm brushing and rattle can right now, which is fine but I think an airbrush could add a whole lot and take up the fun factor. Got a little more done to the T. Only have very little rubbing of toothpaste left. While I was at it trying something new like that I figured why not try what I see most people refer to as "the tank" for a model I had abandoned a while back. And wouldn't ya know it, it worked! So i'm gonna post some pics of that one today too. It's a 1932 Chevy Truck also in 1/32 scale. After these 2 I have a 67 chevelle that I also had to stick in "the tank". Unfortunately it didnt come out of the tank in as good of shape as the 32 truck. Mainly cause I got frustrated being my second paint job in a row messed up and went a little cracy with my dremel and a few attachments. So there will be some tlc (filler/bondo) involed with that one. Lets get to some pics. Gonna post some now and then i'm gonna post some later tonight to, cause there WILL be molding building time worked into my day today. It's my birthday today and i'll throw a fit if that doesnt happen... I mean it... i'll do it... Oh Yeah... How are you attaching your files/pics? It only lets me attach so many and then I have only figured out that I have to delete some of what i've already uploaded to add more.
  5. k here we go. still not the way everyone elses is so it makes it easier to view, but i'll get there. once again thanks for looking.
  6. Thanks Luis I appreciate it I have a little more done here. I finished the wheels, didnt like the way they were so I got out the dremel and ground down the centers and used chrome caps that I didnt use on my 32 monogram street rod kit. The white walls and all are hand painted (no extra scratch to buy any if they are made for these) I just used some pin stripe tape found in the plane section of hobby works and stretched and curved it around the tire.... I cut and glued the stacks (eyelets from michaels) on the carbs.... Also got another coat of paint on the body, I brushed it on cause I couldnt find the 'sea blue flat' in a spray, so I figured i'd try the toothpaste rub I read about a couple people doing on here and so far so good.... ummmmm.... oh, got my radiator and headlights sprayed with metallic, not sure if the headlights will stay that way though and the radiator fins i'll probably paint black, forgot to take pics of it though i will later on tonight.... k so here is some pics.... Thanks for looking ok so it's not letting me attach my pics ,cause they are to big' although they are no bigger then the other ones i uploaded before. go figure... geesh idk i'm not in the mood to figure this out right now nor find a place to host pics and try that, lifes been like that past couple days what can i say lol.
  7. This is awesome!! Your doing a heck of a job. We'll definitely miss this build. Especially considering your teasing us with ice cubes now But good luck with the contest cant wait to see the 32.
  8. Oh boy... looks like I need to learn how to attach my pics better on this thing. And sorry for the poor pic quality I dont have a camera and my phone really stinks at it. I'll have to find one to use/ borrow till I get one. And as always constructive criticism is welcome.
  9. Hello and thanks for looking. Your in luck I had alot to say but I ended up clicking on something to try and add multiple pics instead of just one at a time and what I had to say went away lol. So anyway i'm not only new to model building but to this forum as well. This is my third build and my first post here about my build. This forum is really awesome with the shareing and everything. I've learned and enjoyed myself so much reading and looking at all your builds and checking the tips/tricks section. I dont have a whole lotta pics of this build I lost a couple some how and im not done yet so there will be more. I lowered the rearend on this thing, it was just sitting way to high for me. Oh and this is a Lindberg model I picked up at ollies cause it was cheap and they were having a buy out sale like they do for everything. The air filters are different then in the pics now, I put stacks on them. I'll take a couple pics later, plan on doing some work on it this evening. Sorry for all the blabbin I did it again lol... i'll get to it...
  10. Yeah, what he said "way to cool". And im a fan of that paint job as well, that looks really good. Im jealous, I wish the dollar stores around here would do that with the spray paint. I looked a couple weeks ago and they have like the dollar store special (name brand youve never heard of with a funky label) and only in black and white.
  11. Hi Randy, Thank You!! Incredible work! I thought the same thing of the seat when I saw it in the mag, thats gonna look great, actually they already do I love the treads to, I never would of thought of something like that. The way you trimmed them out and all is really stunning. The more I look at it the more I find. It's something else man.
  12. While I do believe reading is a good thing and if it's not that I hope everything is ok. Could you please talk him into possibly doing a little less reading . Cause I just can't wait for another update on this project. It's unbelievable. I love it!! I have an extra pair of shorts ready just for the occassion.
