Looking forward to seeing more. Keep it going John. -
Thats coming together nicely How did you get the main grain in your wood planks? I read and I know its not exactly where you want it to be yet. But thats really cool that you could do that in the first place. your seats look really good too are they scratch built? Have fun Ron

Oh absolutely your so right! I think it's the coolest thing I think you hit the nail on the head with the humidity. Humidity summer time can be god aweful here. I'd love to have one of those booths myself but cant justify the 500 dollar hit right now though. I've seen one for 150 but cant figure out why its so much cheaper except for it being a little smaller. I could always build one I guess, but whenever I read about them there is always a debate aboout which way to build them and it seems to go 50/50 on which way to go so i dont know lol... Thats tuff not having any windows in your basement, only idea that pops in my head is maybe putting your booth some where by your dryer if your dryers in the basement. And then you could figure out a simple and non-time consuming way to swap your booth hose with your dryers. I mean that would work right? Most dryer vent tubes are like 4 inches or more I think. Thanks Tony and John I really appreciate it . It Sanded out, when I resprayed it something else happened LOL... so I had the first one I made sitting there and decided i'd go with that one. And when I did the paint didnt sit or look right for some reason. So I ended having a little experiment to see how a clear coat would look over it and when I did it had a reaction and actually lost that chrome look. Looked like a steel or aluminum color after that. And so I sat there for a minute and said you know what, maybe this tank isnt supposed to be chrome, it certainly doesnt wunna be. Then I put on another coat of clear, let it dry, and then decided to paint the sides of it a different color. And made a "gas filler" (forget technical term for it). So for todays events I have to make a quick steering column, wont be nothing fancy. And after that i'll be installing steering wheel, shifer, radiator and pondering the idea of trying to lower the roof/convertable top to sit lower then original due to chopping the winshield in half. If I dont do that it should be under glass rather soon. I'll probably post the couple previous builds as well when I do. Also been working on a build of the 67 chevelle that got a ruined body thanks to my frustration with paint not turning out to well on the body and got a little crazy with my dremel. I was planning on sitting it aside for a long time, but my future step daughter got a sudden interest in wanting to build something and thats the one she picked. Body work here we come. Hopefully the body will turn out ok, i'll try i know that. It's really something though, shes 9 and a rather hyper person and normally has little patience. But when we sit down to work on this model she doesnt twitch and shift in her seat like normal and she suddenly has patience. This will turn out to be my favorite build of all time i'm sure. I've had to tell the wifey to be quiet a couple times so far LOL... she panicked a little seeing a knife in her hand the first time, so I had to tell her shes had a lesson and shes been doing great so if your gonna be that way you need to leave the room. And also had to tell her to be quiet its just paint and its dry so you need to be quiet and let her have fun (she had a little bit of paint on her fingers). LOL... Thanks Ron -
Good job it looks great. Thats a pretty car. I fell in love with those cars when I was a kid. And then the Diablos came out and I told myself i'd get one. Still dont have one LOL but oh well, maybe i'll build the kit.

Dont you love it when you put in all your efforts and on the last step/coat a little tiny bug lands on your part -
Big time bummer! I know the feeling. What kind of clear did you use? Thanks Ron

Same here, looking forward to it.

Do they make belly tank kits? Or did you scratch build all of that? Either way it looks good!

As usual your work is fantastic!!!! Your detail work, especially with the smaller and smallest of stuff is mind blowing. I havent been at model building for very long. But hopefully one day I can detail that nice. Im looking forward to seeing another one of your builds. The aluminum (if thats what it is, it looks like it) is a real cool touch around your gauges too. Thanks Ron -
That sounds cool Kyle. If your anything like me your gonna change your mind a million times about the color, and then when you do decide on it, you'll change your mind again

I dont know much more then you and yeah its real hard to make out if the numbers are red or black or whatever they might be in that pic... But I do know this - I am excited to see you build this - so dont ever feel like your posting to many photos/info/etc.. I cant wait for your info to be gathered so you can get started
