  1. It's not your tire or rim size. If you look at the original, the front end is more slammed with the tires tucked up under the fender all the way to the rim. And the rear end is sitting just the same as it is now with the top of the tire right at the edge of the fender well. Cool resto, and a cool car.... makes me think of that movie Hollywood Knights.... "wheres your el camino, wheres your el camino"... I love that movie... k sorry im done Ron
  2. Outstanding work John. You hit it out of the park and then some!
  3. Pretty cool!! I'm def gonna have to get some pics together by tomorrow to put on here. Ive been working on a new bench set up too. It's neat seeing all the different set ups and what people are useing for this and that, ya know. Ron
  4. Ohhhh yeah! Your getting close I can feel it. Looking great. I like the addition of the swords above the front fenders Keep going. Thanks for the update. Ron
  5. Dan thats awesome. You havent had a problem with either one I bet. Whats the other color in your interior btw I cant make it out, black and?
  6. 'my80malibu' he may have ocd, or he may be like me and his wife or gf has it and its rubbed off on him LOL Simply amazing work John, First class!! If my next build turns out that awesome, which it wont, but if it turns out even halfway as nice as that i'll be thrilled. And I know i've said it before, but this car is really stunning Thanks for sharing.
  7. Hey Eelco... I dont know if its always easier, I think i'm a bit better with handling bigger parts LOL. But it is Def. cheaper thats for sure. Thanks for the info about Revell i'm gonna have to keep an eye out for it... That's a big fridge you have there, I like it. That is the fridge to the left of the sink right or? Is the cabinet and drawers under the sink something you built or did you find those with a diorama set or something? Ron
  8. Oh wow! Give it 5 more years and im sure itll still haul butt. Seems i've over looked cars like that. Not no more. Thanks Ron
  9. This is a neat build keep it going Makes me think... I always wanted a big ol' tour bus to do with what I wanted. In the future when my skills are better, I think I found a way to do just that; models. Ron
  10. Is that 6.1L I see on that engine? Do those cars come with that size of an engine? Or is that the size your using for your build? Sorry if you said something and I missed it. Looking good. Ron
  11. Absolutely Stunning!!!!
  12. John thanks alot I appreciate it I still have a long ways to go before I can pull off what you've been working on Tony likewise Thank you I appreciate it All I need now is an actual display shelf or some sort of "display case" with shelves in it. No pics today, just did some touch up painting, mainly to the engine she was a bit worn from how much I handled it working on the headers. And finally felt comfortable glueing up the body to the interior and all. Plan to get the body glued to the chassis, along with the motor, tomorrow/today. And if im still happy with the radiator i;ll get that glued to. Other then that just gotta get my windshield glued and I think she'll be done. Thanks again!!
  13. Ohhh ok  For something to be cheaper even after shipping is saying something. Im suprised. Of course ive never really shopped ebay either.
  14. The shapes/curves of this thing are really awesome. And that roof and the angle of it add so much of an attitude. Its just way cool man. Cant wait to see more. 15. You mean you buy stuff on ebay that you can get at work (walmart)?
  16. Wow!! Spectacular!! I need more emoticons so i can have some little dude clapping or something for posts like this...
  17. And the pickup... Thanks and as always comments and constructive wordings are welcome.
  18. Pics of the header with a bit of paint on them and positioned on the engine. And pics of the 32 pickup progress. Even though time was limited, what time I did have, was a real good time with modeling today. Cant wait for tomorrow when i may finish both models. And I cant wait to start another one, and use my new found skills, tools, and definitely the new found knowledge from you guys helping me out. First up T Bucket. I definately want to build another one of these someday but in a larger 1:25 scale.
  19. Managed to get a little done today. Worked the headers on the other side of the engine, just letting the glue dry on the tips before I take them off and get some primer and all on them. I did get some primer on one set though and will get the others tonight. I also chopped the window frame, which is one solid piece connected to the instrument panel/cluster, so im not sure how im gonna paint it yet colors and what not, but i'll figure that out later. Till then I wanted to post a couple of pics to keep me going. Now I gotta go clean my car and buff out the scratches. Birds took a BIG dump on my car yesterday and must of used it as a perch cause its scratched up big time. Here is the funny part... I actually washed it yesterday and wouldnt you know it, I went out today and they had took a dump in the same exact spots and added even more scratches.... I swear it was like twilight zone or something when I saw it. I had to check the date on my phone to make sure I wasnt stuck in something like that movie Groundhog day or something.... Thanks for taking a look Oh... got some work on my 32 pickup done today. I'm excited about that too. Just havent taken any pics of it yet. Hopefully i'll have it finished tonight. We'll see how much energy I have after working on my 1:1 car LOL
  20. Just wanted to let you know that you actually made me want to watch the movie enough after looking at this build that I went out and bought it recently. A friend of mine has also let me borrow the original (death race 2000) from back in the day to watch too. So keep going, cause this is a really cool build and your doing an awesome job. Thanks Ron
  21. WooHoo He's back... and he brought killer doors with him... Thanks for sharing your craftsmanship Randy. It's inspiring.
  22. I cant wait to see how your gonna tackle painting this beast. There is alot of detail and, layers (if you will) going on with this build. Looking great man. Keep going!
