Ron a.k.a. Grouchy Pants replied to camarobuilder's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Sorry to hear it. Hope you get better soon. Really great build btw. Take care -
Sounds nice. What colors do you plan on useing for this one?
-
Oh wait LOL I just got that "fake looking ipod headphones". So the headphones werent real in the first place. Takes me a while sometimes but I get it eventually
-
My pleasure. Good use of headphones I take it they didnt work anymore. I really liked the look of those rims. And i'm glad those slicks will fit and it'll work out for you. I know some of these kits dont leave much wheel well room. Should look real nice
-
Cool. Looks good. What year Vette was your first build?
-
Love that color!! Wheel combo #5. What kind of wiring are you using on your engine? Looks great keep going.

And whats being worked on in the corner spot is the t bucket. To the left of the bucket waiting attention is a 66 chevy nova pro street. And to the right of the bucket is a 1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster. Idea behind the boards is so that I can pick them up and take what I may need to work on and sit on the couch or outside or something if I want and build. Or I can just move them out of the way for something else etc... Thanks

I love the use of the pegboard guys, expecially to the side like that. Looks like its very handy. These are some pics of my current setup. I've been through a few so far. Havent had it setup this way for long but so far so good and im not finished with it yet. And I plan on trying to enjoy it this way as much as possible cause in about a year or less i'll be moving and more then likely will have to downsize. Which is fine Under the larger side of the table I have a drawer thats 3ft wide and 2ft deep that could support a build on its own or for some more storage. I plan on building another shelf next to the other one too (i think). But anyway here it is. And i'll include a couple pics of what models I have on it being worked on and whats waiting to be worked on. Thanks for looking and definately thanks to everyone for sharing.

Nice very nice. I'll def be following this one. I bought a Peterbuilt 359 Conventional Tractor 1:25 scale Revell kit recently. It'll be my first big rig when I build it, and im probably red in color. I cant wait to see this thing come along, and that orange is already looking really nice. -
Your off to a great start. Cant wait to see the blue with silver stripes that should look really good, nice choice. And your engine looks great.
-
Second that, great subject and great car. Your build looks real good. Cant wait to see how you make your hood scoop and all. I think ill have to go look for the dvd as well. If ive seen the movie, which I probably have, I completely forget.

He may be thumbing through the new street rodder or something gathering inspiration. Or he may be secretly working on it and waiting to throw up a whole lot of progress at one time (hopefully with a good amount of pics). Either way i'll have a pair of glasses on so when my eyes pop outta my head again I dont have to go chase them across the room.

I cant wait for more. That paint looks terrific!!!

I agree... Is that a wood grain dash (instrument panel)? And if so how did you do that, is it a decal or? That looks really good! Thanks Ron

25 Ford T Bucket
Ron a.k.a. Grouchy Pants replied to Ron a.k.a. Grouchy Pants's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Well, Woohoo I have a bit done. The truck is finished - minus winshield glass and headlight covers cause they mysteriously dissapeared even though I used something to hold all the parts in while this one was on hold And the T-Bucket is coming along. Thinking of making some interior changes now. Biggest change might be the interior color. I think im gonna make it white now. I had stripped the window bracket and instrument cluster cause I didnt like the way my idea for painting it turned out, and when I did I broke one of the window brackets. So I had to do some doctoring (small piece). So after I did that I decided to paint it white instead of looking at it in grey primer, and when I did I got the idea for all white So these are the pics before I start the "more then likely" interior changes. Thanks for looking First up T-Bucket... Once again sorry for the poor picture quality. Working on finding the right driver for my camera. CD for uploading them is lost. -

Sweet!! Turned out really nice I like how you incorporated the hood into the flames the way you did. And the sunroof is a nice touch.
