  1. Welcome! Glad to have you here and looking forward to seeing some of your builds.
  2. Useing the 5 minute epoxy to make parts is a good tip, I like that! I forgot to mention, I love the weathered VW also . A really cool pair of Bugs!!!
  3. ......Thank you, I've went as far as purchasing nail polish in the past but, didn't know what to do with it. I assume any lacquer thinner will work, I will give it a try!

    What if...?

I like the Volkscruiser. now I want one!
  5. Good to see in paint with the shave. Keep it going!
  6. That is AWESOME!!!!! I love this kit and you did it justice. It's nice to see one done right.
  7. Yeah Ray, hope to have it ready for our next club meet 1st Thursday of the month. I do this all the time, get side-tracked on another build. I have it painted all but the interior. I think it's the engine wireing that always holds me up. I try to get them better every time, still working on it. It should be easy with a 4 cylinder you would think.
  8. That engine looks good! I started one of these about four weeks ago and stopped about halfway through the engine also. What is it about this kit? It does have some great parts.
  9. Nice! How do you apply nail polish? I've never tried it, do you thin it down and apply it with an airbrush or brush it on or what? I've always wondered.
  10. It's gonna be sweet!!
  11. I've always loved the old AMT '32s. Nice job on a stock build. What color is that, I like it?
  12. Thanks Derrick and Mike, good info. I got a little excited when I knocked my model off the bench and didn't search too hard before posting this. There are several posts here under tips and tutorials I missed. The link is just what I was looking for and I like your photo Mike! Thanks again.
  13. I know I've seen this topic on here before but, where? I just dropped my '32 on the floor and broke the top off now I want to make it look welded on with weathering on the welds. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
  14. Nice paint, I like the colors and the one thing that stands out the most are the side pipes!!! Beautiful!
  15. That is Plum Nice and lookin' good!!! Love that color!
  16. Nice!!! It looks like a real body with a few ripples, probably the light reflection but, I like the effect. Is that Bare Metal Foil or paint on the trim? I really can't tell and that is a compliment. I like.
  17. Cool!!!
  18. I agree the front tires look too small on this kit, my two photos show the differance with a switch on the black '32. My only suggestion, if you use the flame decals color test the yellow for the grill, which I didn't. It builds up nice box stock in my opinion. I would really like to build one more traditional with a flathead like you are talking about. Hope to see more of yours.
  19. One Cool Bug!
  20. Nice job Lucas! The interior looks real in the direct sun photo. I love the wheels also.
  21. Cool Look! I Like!
  22. Looks good, takes me back to my first one I painted metallic blue back in the 1960s. I've always loved this kit, can't wait to see more.
  23. My bench has been quiet the last week for a vacation, waiting for me to return and plop all my stuff on it. Here we go, waiting for me is the '32 Ford I was working on and another Hudson.

    What if...?

I love the first one even though I still don't know what it is, a Vette? The '63 Vette probably would have worked seeing how a lot of them received similar treatment making room for bigger meats. Our eyes would have adjusted. The only one I'm not too fond of is the mix of Mopar with Bow-tie with '59 tailights. Nice work Harry!

    What if...?

I think this one would have been nicknamed "The Pig Nose", I'm still laughing!
