Are you saying I'm not a real car guy? I will have you know I currently have 5 cars in my barn. ( And the muffler did fall off the GEO Metro once. ) Besides, why would I build 100+ model cars if I wasn't a car guy. I also count going to several car shows a year qualifying and watching many car related shows on TV and racing events making me qualified to call myself a car guy. I was a car guy before I could walk!!!
I always liked to listen to a song called "Stick Shift" by the Duals when pulling out on the By-Pass in my GEO Metro. Hey that was a freebie!!!!! Got to love those engine sounds if you're a car guy no matter what you are driving!
What parts are you looking for? I would just start a thread under Q&A for the part I need. I started one for Baby Moon hubcaps and had replies in the first 15 minutes. Since you mentioned Cragers, the Meyers "Manx" has a nice reversed set. Forum members will share their vast knowledge with you!
Yeah, I know Harry, like I said it's just me, one man's opinion that's just what I like,......Anyway, it just seems on a list of all time best designs the sales figures would have reflected the numbers of which was best. Just saying.
The '63 Vette is the only one I like of these five, although I wouldn't put it in the top 5 all-time GM cars. That's just me, when it comes to GM I think only of Chevrolet, like I said that's just me. It seems like their very first car would be in there. Also, is this based on sales?
I was just kidding Jim although, I will admitt you scared me for about 10 seconds when I saw your post one minute after mine, I thought, "That was a quick come back!" There I go......Trying to take over the thread again, sorry.
Are you talking to me? I have never had the intention to take over a thread but, sometimes maybe I say too much or talk about myself too much. ( Like Now) The only time I feel guilty of hijacking someone's thread is when I post pictures of my models on their thread. I don't any more unless they ask for it, just my rule. I think if you cross the boundaries Harry will chime in, he must read everything. If you are worried about what one member of the Forum thinks you are beating yourself up too much. I still think the most important rule is to have fun.
Thanks for the tip on the tire decals Jason, I am going to try your method. I still have two or three '67 Vettes in my stash. I don't think I will ever attempt to open the doors though, I am impressed with your's. Even the door jams look real.
Nice Show! Something about those injector tubes sticking up on Rat Trap make it stand out as my favorite but, as others have said, also I like them all. Thanks for sharing.
The paint is nice and I love the chassis detail! The exaust looks like perfection. I also like the roll bar extended to the trunk, nice detail! The engine belts look good and........ Oh! Has that thing got a Hemi? Nice.
