  1. I would like to do one "Old School" this has always been one of my favs. One of my first kits ever built (actually second) was the AMT 5-window. Let's do it!!!
  2. Another beauty! I'll always be a fan of the flathead engines, what is your choice on this one? Can't wait!
  3. Having built three of these I've found that I can install the lower filler panel before paint and still manoeuver the interior to fit. If you decide to do this and repaint it, it would be a good time to shave the door handles. (Just a reminder) Your attention to detail is top notch! Oh and the key to installing the interior this way is not to install the fire wall untill after the interior is installed.
  4. I like what Harry said so far the best. What I sometimes do is just get an old project back out of the box and inspiration comes back. Often times I give up on a project and put it away ( maybe for years), then when I get it back out I see a simple solution and just build it. The result is instant gratification and I'm ready to move on to something new.
  5. You are making this look too easy! I also love this kit, having opened the doors and trunk on one I know it's not an easy task but, fun. The end result on yours will be killer, I can tell by the amount of detail so far. The inner structure on the trunk lid looks spot on. I'll be watching!
  6. That's a real beauty!!! Do your kits all come with right hand drive or is this part also a conversion? I've always wondered about that. I have seen a '37 utility at a show here in the States only it was a hardtop. The guy got the body shipped from Australia.
  7. Thanks Harry, I'm still working on some items for the bed. A couple of things about this kit made me think of you, it does have a generator bracket and it does have valve stems! I would like to add tailgate chains and an inside rear view mirror. There seems to be a shortage of rear views in the kits lately.
  8. Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate every one of them.
  9. That turned out pretty cool! Let me guess, is your wife Jenni? It looks like she is ready for the Powder Puff, do they still have those? I love these type of builds. I think it's the first '61 I've seen treated this way.
  10. Nice job Dave and I'll say it again, you are too generous! Good luck with the raffle. I especially like the picnic basket and the Mustang tailights.
  11. I didn't say enough about this one the first time, besides being AWESOME it is gorgeously beautiful, perfectly killer, cool and flawless! I love the knobs on the dash and the interior detail, the stance, and the photos are excellant! There , now I feel better, NICE WORK!!!!!
  12. This is so cool, and the autograph makes it extra special. I've also been to his shop on the way to The Outer Banks several times. It's my all time favorite Monster Truck by far and rivals Big Foot my first love. I picked a kit up recently at a swap meet/model show for $10. The kid selling them had several. I hope mine comes out as nice as your's, and if I could only get an autograph.
  13. Thanks for the encouragement Mike and Tom, it means a lot. Maybe I can sleep now.
  14. Where's Danica, you need her poseing with her car? Seriously, the car came out great! It shows what you can do with enough determination. Nice job!
  15. It looks nice and shiny, I guess the old one is officially a survivor now! Nice work keep it going, and I love the old one too, hope you keep it untouched forever!
  16. It turned out great! The perfect nostalgia dragster, I love it!!!!
  17. Thanks Mike! That's just what I needed was some encouragement right now. I just returned from my club feeling kind of discouraged. One of the guys said it was the wrong color green and it needed bmf in the bed. Another guy said I could use it to pull a wide load with the front bumper. Then we had a discussion about baldness and what causes it. (I'm bald!) Why am I here? I love this Forum, it's what the Doctor ordered! Thanks again to all.
  18. It looks great, nice color too!
  19. Is this 1/64 scale? Who makes it? I may need a couple, thanks.
  20. With all this extreme work I can't believe you left the door handles alone. Just kidding. This is very impressive what you have done so far. Wow!

I love the look on this one, the paint looks flawless! I've been saying green is the new red for hot rods and green is money here in the States. I got a hold of this same kit and plan to swap out some of the parts to build a stock '37 since they are both 1/24 scale. It does have a nice flathead. No engine in yours since it's curbside? It will look good on the shelf anyway with just the right stance.
  22. I'm retired so as much as I can get away with.
  23. Wow that's a beauty! It's got the right look and I love the Merc hubcaps. Nothing like a 5-window '32, I love it!!!!
  24. I got a little mud on the grill, still working on this a little more.
