  1. That's a big job opening the doors on one of these and your's turned out fabulous! The paint looks great too, I'm guessing Dupli-Color? Also the red-line tires, are those the decals that came with the kit? I could never get 4 of them to workout for me, maybe one or two, then I revert to blackwalls. I love it!!!
  2. I think that's a catchy name for your club also, forgot to mention. Thanks for sharing and many more years of modeling to your FAST club.
  3. I love it, what a Beauty! I agree with GoatGuy, it looks REAL!
  4. Nice job on the masking and painting! The engine is always a surprise to me on the Mini, I always expect to see two little hamsters going around in a wheel. All kidding aside, the engine looks great!
  5. She can be proud of this one it's a Beauty!

    58 Edsel.

Not an Edsel fan but, your's turned out terrific! The two tone looks awsome and this may be the first one I've ever liked.....a little. Ironically the first 1/25 scale model I ever built was a '60 Edsel in 1960 just before they closed shop.
  7. Nice progress, I love it also!
  8. More than I thought, I just counted 14. I started six '50 Chevy pickups a while back thinking I would start an assembly line, so far two complete, maybe a bad idea? Also two '55 Corvettes in the works after completing four. The idea here to get better on each one. Maybe I should put them back in the box a while till I get better at building. Two '32 fords, a 5-window and a roadster, a '34 Ford dirt tracker, a '37 Ford I once owned, a '55 Chevy I once owned, a '65 Malibu I once owned, a '41 Willys and a Meyer's "Manx". I'm not looking any farther in my stash, I think you see my point. My name is Ron, and I'm a styrene addict.
  9. Nooooooooo!!!!!! Not the '37 wheels! Actually, I like the idea of the Wide Whites on steel wheels but, what color? Then, maybe some baby moons or accent rings. Decisions, decisions...ho hum.
  10. You can do it! Not as bad as the 3 day ones I've seen on here. Also I think I remember a 24 hr. build. Keep us posted in your spare time!
  11. I love the '57! I built one just like it when they first came out, mine in stock trim. I also prefer this to the Bel Air, although I love any model of a '57 Chevy. Never get tired of them, I just wonder what they were thinking in '58 and even worse '59 in Chevy's design department.
  12. I like the top three sets of wheels, can't decide. Never cared for the '37 Ford kit wheels, just personal preference I guess. Just wondering, did you make your own decals? I like them.
  13. Thanks Ray, I didn't get it done before our club meet this past Thursday as expected, it has been a slow build for me. I want to build at least one more for off road, maybe it will go faster. Something about the engine just doesn't look right to me. The fuel pump on the side is an early VW 36 hp version is what I'm told.
  14. Congrats to your club and the LHS and Happy Birthday!
  15. Bench is still a mess a week later, not much has changed. Still working on Meyers "Manx."
  16. " I love my Baby Moons," the man said.
  17. It's hard to improve on the appearance of a Vette but, I think you have the ticket! I like it so far.
  18. Thanks Jon! I feel better now. I was beginning to feel a little embarrased, so it's ok? I was trying to get a friend interested in the Forum but, not a good way to start. As long as I don't get any points against me.
  19. OK I'm busted! I was clueless when I opened this one back up. I was showing a modeling friend the Forum for the first time on my computer, looking at some old posts and I guess I went too far. Any time I see something VW I feel the urge to respond. I really didn't put much thought into it at the time, then Harry responded and I began to realise what I had done and could have responded with a or a , but, what the heck, thought it would just die. So there you go.
  20. I still say REAL after seeing the image finally.
  21. Thanks Dave, I picked some up from Lowe's today and I see what you mean, perfect! Thanks for offering to send me some also, you are too generous and I appreciate it.
  22. Thanks Dave, good tip! Thank you also Patrick for another good source.
  23. Nice paint, looks fantastic!
  24. Looks good! I'd like to see it with the hood on and tubes sticking out, bet that looks killer!
  25. I like your style! Both nice builds but, I really like the Chevy!
