  1. Nice work so far. Your color choices look amazing to me. I want to start one of these so bad, can't wait to see the rest of yours, please keep it going and post more pictures! Good job on the b.m.f. wish I could do that as well.
  2. More good stuff here! I have had trouble getting the fine tip pen to flow, the large tip works good but, mine are "Prismacolor" from Hobby Lobby. Looks like I will be taking a trip to Dollar Tree. Also sanding sticks, super glue, epoxy, oh ya!
  3. Also the silver Sharpie marker works good for chrome with clear gloss over it to seal. Cheap! Cheap!
  4. I tried the cheap primer "Fresh & Easy" @ $1.59 from Big K and applied black Dupli-Color acrylic enamel over it. I'm happy with the results! For clear I will use Testors Glosscoat over just about anything. I'm surprised about how it will go over lacquers and enamels. I don't no what kind of formula they use at Testors but, it is totally amazing. The Krylon paint I use is labeled Indoor/Outdoor which has worked good also except that it seems a little thin. I have to apply a lot of thin coats with adequate time to dry between coats I have found. I will try just about anything when it comes to paint to save a buck. After all it's just plastic we are painting and most of the time you can start over. I have even blasted the paint off using aluminum oxide ending with the plastic unharmed . Now to try spraying "Future Shine".
  5. This is a lot to process all at once but, I'm loving it! Thanks for sharing.
  6. This has some terrific style! First time I've seen 4 carbs. in-line on a flathead Ford, good look!
  7. Nice!
  8. You are a professional Sir, nice work!
  9. Like it Good job!
  10. I'm a fan, THANKS!
  11. I like it a lot! Makes me want one even more. Nice work and excellent finish.
  12. No engine shots because it is not finished. It's a 427 from a 67 corvette that just happen to fit in the Mercury frame. I still want to wire it and detail it some more. I was mistaken on the orange paint which is actually Krylon Pumpkin Orange.
  13. I feel it! Nice job on the weathering, the surf theme, roof rack, exhaust and overall detail, you nailed it!
  14. Jason, I had the same thing going on without the chop, in the box probably 10 to 15 years. I sectioned the body, tubed it, smoothed it among other things only to give up on it. After trashing it I could never get over it, after all, it is a great kit. Since then I have built one in stock form and one as a Gasser. With two more on the shelf I have plans to build one as a 50s Custom and one as a Moonshine Hauler. A Dirt Tracker would also be nice. As I said it's a great kit please don't give up on it. Or a Rust Bucket would be good, the list goes on and on. More pictures later I hope, I'll be watching.

That's what I'm talking about! Nice detail work on the engine. More! More! More!
  16. I'm always a sucker for 32 Fords. Nice job so far.
  17. Want to see more! I like!
  18. Welcome back to the hobby! Nice work so far. Man this has got to be a rare body, I have never seen one. You are definitely getting "the look" going on. Hope you keep it going I would like to see a lot more.
  19. This 1950 Ford ( the year I was born), has to be my favorite. Of course I had to build the Kurtis Midget to go with it. The truck was the first model I brought to a local club meeting, the theme was 50s Fords.
  20. I can paint two models with a 1/4 oz bottle of Testors enamel thinned to 50/50. The only problem, it takes about three days or more to cure enough to handle the model. That's why I mostly use lacquers now. I can usually paint two models with one 3 oz. can of Model Masters. I do like the price of the small bottles of enamel a lot better and the air brush has a lot better control of the spray. Plus the fact that I can get by without primer in some cases with the enamels. Just need more patience I guess. This was one 1/4 oz. bottle of Testors enamel sprayed with my airbrush, no primer.
  21. Thanks for the tip!
  22. Seems to be working now I just need to work on my photography skills. Thanks again!
