  1. Really nice and looks good as is John, just needs a shifter knob and fan belt as far as I can see. This one is on my bucket list. I started a Big T last year and purchased a Big Duece, both are the new version. These are my two favorites and only big scale I own. I had an original Big T when I was a kid and always wanted the Big Duece. You made a good purchase IMHO.
  2. Thanks guys. This one was so much fun I'm now working on another rust-bucket. The bus was a brush painted glue-bomb when I got it. I was just going to leave it that way, then one day I decided to strip it and soon realized it was missing a few parts. That's when the fun began since it was never going to be right anyway, I figured it might as well be Far Out. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Hope you guys got a chuckle.
  3. Nice clean build, I love it!
  4. Nice job! Good job of getting the rear lid to open correctly. Nice detail work in and out.
  5. Just for the love of fun.
  6. Thanks again guys. I found the front bumper finally, so had to stick it on.
  7. Can be restored with enough time and money. Nice work Manny.
  8. Nice and shiny! I love the blue on it, looks great!
  9. "That can be buffed out" comes to mind. Also, "You just customized it!"
  10. Equally AWESOME with the Bugatti!
  11. Thanks Stan, That has to be a Holden I think, I'm not sure. It kind of reminds me of a '55 Chevy or a Checker here in US. The rust looks good. I have used enamels and lacquers so long I just thought I would try water base for a change. They are fun for now and eases drying time here in Winter months with temperatures so low.
  12. Thanks Dan, Didn't think about the decal problem on this one. They may go on alright since I used clearcoat over the craft paint. I still remember the sign entering Fort Polk, it read, " Welcome to Fort Polk, Home of Combat Infantry Men for Vietnam." Nice welcome! They also called it "Little Vietnam".
  13. Thanks again for all the kind words.
  14. I love all your '57s I thought I recognized this one, looks good with the decals.
  15. FUN is what it's all about! Looks good! Have to agree,
  16. Cool Oldscool, I like it!
  17. Update on MADMAN '55 with decals. I actually forgot about this thread thanks for bringing it back Greg.
  18. Hector, I don't know which Black one you are talking about now, mine or Glen's 1:1 but, here is a link to my other build in case you missed it: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=85594&hl= Oh and Thanks to everone else for complements. Also here is one I did a while back of my very first 1:1 car, another '55 I fixed up and painted back in 1965 when I was 15.

    1965 Chevelle

That turned out terrific, I knew it would when I saw it in the workbench section. The little knobs on the dash convinced me. It reminds me so much of my High School ride. The details are fantastic. Love the small block. Can you tell me where you got the correct badges? Maybe I will look back at the workbench section for it once more. Nice work Jeff, you got it right! I looked in the workbench section and found no new posts so, if you can answer, how did you do the side badges please? Also the rear looks amazing!
  20. Glen, I found it! Nice period look. $50? Wow! How did you manage to hang on to it all these years? You must have got used to saying NO when people ask if it is for sale. I have owned three of them over the years, now only in 1:25 scale. My first car was a '55. Thanks for sharing yours. I wasn't aware of the 1:1 section until now, thanks.
  21. Thanks guys, $50 would have probably have been about right for this one but, I did get $300 for it when I sold it. All I lost was the little bit of work I put into it. I had to move on to a Harley Chopper when I returned home to feel the freedom of the wind blowing through my beard. lol Do you have a link you could post to your '55 Glen, I would like to see it? I found it! Thanks. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=81537
  22. It does look like Goober! Nice little diorama Richard. I've been finishing some old builds all year and trying to clean up my shop. Only two new ones so far this year but, finished seven old ones and it feels good. Now I'm working on an old Texaco gas station diorama for display. I think it's a neat idea to have a photo back drop like yours.
  23. Very nice! My neighbor has one like this, very similar, about the same color. No blower on his though probably SBC. Nice Job.
  24. Nice piece of History, awesome work!
  25. Let the Sun shine on that Rust!!!! Awesome work as usual Richard!
