  1. Thanks Cameron, I like all your boards and started following you.
  2. I like what I see, nice job! http://www.pinterest.com/rmvw/my-model-cars/
  3. I enjoyed watching the builds on facebook but, I did sleep through the night. The young people won me over for the fact that they all seemed to finish and how sleepy eyed they looked at the end. Nice job on your model Tom, I watched your progress throughout. I've used the Flaming Orange a couple of times myself and received nice compliments on it both times, good choice for you.
  4. You are making this look too easy Rob! I have been putting off building that kit for a long time, now maybe I'll give it a try. On real time!!! Nice progress so far. I've been following the build on facebook and loving it. More action than I've seen in a while! Kind of like watching a gravity race.
  5. It looks very beech worthy.
  6. Nice job Jason.
  7. I could be a cheerleader today! Go Team Go!!!! Seriously I don't know how you guys can stay up all night, I couldn't make it to midnight on Newyear's Eve. Nice action on Facebook, keep it going! https://www.facebook.com/groups/455951714469809/
  8. Does this hold compressed air or something else? I tried the portable air tank with regulator for a while but, it kept running out of air just like the spare tire. If you want quiet the bigger tank might work for you.
  9. My first airbrush had an adapter for a spare tire valve. You just pumped the tire up to 45 lbs or so, enough to do a model car body usually. I have a 30 gallon tank now with 2 1/2 hp electric motor compressor that holds enough pressure at 125 lbs to hardly ever come on. Just purchased a small one at Lowes before Christmas with a nail gun for under $90 . It is loud but very portable.
  10. Wish I could participate, hope you guys post a lot of pictures, I'll be watching.
  11. X2 You've come to the right place. http://www.pinterest.com/rmvw/my-model-cars/
  12. Welcome Greg, glad to have you here. Love the VW!
  13. Thanks guys. Don't be surprised if some of your models are on there already, they can be easily pined from MCM. Mike I started following a couple of your boards. I'm not here to promote Pinterest just curious whether anyone here was signed up. I'm still onboard here 100 percent.
  14. "Yes Dear" goes a long way until she catches on. 39 years in August. She is truly one of a kind and I love her. She reads and I build models these days. She is also my polar opposite.
  15. Nice job, beautiful paint, love the blower belt and other detail.
  16. Looks real love the diorama.
  17. Okay I give up!!!!
  18. Thanks Cameron for getting back to comment. I was beginning to think there was zero interest in this post Maybe it was the way I presented it. You are describing exactly what I do and I love it. I was a little shy about posting my own photos at first but, now that is one of my favorite things to do. There is great reference material everywhere also.

    Indy cars

Nice collection! I have been a true Indy fan all my life living about 60 miles from the speedway. Didn't think I would ever miss a race but, getting older and it is just a lot easier to watch on TV. Some of your cars may be in the Speedway Museum, not sure. The #3 Norton looks like the car Rick Mears drove in his rookie season maybe. The rest are all too old for me to remember and I'm really not much of a historian. They all look fantastic and jog the memory. I might have to do a google search now. Thanks for showing these.
  20. I like, very cool.
  21. Here's the link to sign up FREE. https://www.pinterest.com/ It looks to be the same as above. Also it looks like you have to sign up on Facebook or Email. My daughter signed me up and I'm not sure how she did it. You could do a google search if the link dosen't work. Good luck!
  22. Bob, the link is to my models, they are all mine and my pictures. I have another board with other models cars and trucks that aren't mine. I will give you the link. You can probably just click on my name and get all my boards, I'm not sure what you are seeing. You can click on pictures to inlarge. There is lots of other stuff on here and a lot of useful imformation. http://www.pinterest.com/rmvw/model-cars-and-trucks/ Here's another link to all my boards, http://www.pinterest.com/rmvw/ And another link to home, http://www.pinterest.com/ It's easy once you get started. You should be able to navigate on your own. You might have to sign up first, just follow link to sign up.
  23. Thanks for responding guys. No one from this forum besides me? My daughter got me started on Pinterest. At first I thought it was a girl thing and mostly about food. Then I started searching for cars. My Daughter said, " Dad, all you do is pin cars, I'm going to quit following you." I said, "Go ahead." I had to unfollow her to get rid of all the girl stuff. I started boards on every make and model I like and it grew from there. I started posting pictures of my models and now they keep showing up everywhere. I look at it daily just like I do here and it just seems to keep me going. I am surprised some of you guys haven't tried this. There are a lot of model builders on there and hobby shops from all over. Anyway all I can say is give it a try or at least look at it when you have time. Sounds like I'm trying to sell it but, no, it's completly free. Thanks for looking.
  24. I have always loved that kit. It looks good in those colors. Nice clean build Bruce.
  25. There are various model builders and hobby shops on Pinterest. A lot of people think they are real cars also, which I find amusing. It's easy and fun and very addictive. You just start as many boards as you like and start pinning. I pin pictures directly from my PC. Follow or unfollow as many boards as you like and be ready, people will start following you. I have over 800 followers already. Lots of car crazy people out there! Have some free fun!
