The planets must be aligned properly, or something because I actually managed to finish a truck! Wow! Anyway, here is my version of the Revell 1937 Ford delivery truck. I only built this guy to see how the kit was because my son who turned 8 in May wanted a glue kit. I wasn't sure what kit to get, because he's also been hounding me for an ambulance kit. Since I wasn't going to spring for a SSB Resin kit for an 8 year old, I was at a loss. The Revell issued this kit & I thought it would be perfect. I have to admit that there are some tricky parts, but I think we'll be able to handle them together. My version is the Sexton Foods version with two-tone Tamiya Green over Dark Green. It's essentially "box-stock", but hey, it's done!

I prefer the Peterbilt as well. The Western Star wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have those stacks! But like Laz said, they probably did it so they could sell more toys.

I've never used Scalefinishes' paints, but Testors Model Master Grun RLM 62 is a good match for the old Alpine Green. I used it here on a 8V71 for an American-LaFrance pumper:

Cool. Yes, I agree with you. I don't think the Confederate Navy Jack (I misspoke in my earlier post) will fit on top of the sleeper. Best to put it on the back. I think the "01" will be too big for the doors like you said.

So the 1/25 scale "General Lee" comes with the Flag on the decal sheet? I saw the model on the shelf at a LHS, but the Flag wasn't on the box art. Not "PC", I guess.

Worth a try. Don't forget the horn that plays "Dixie"! Are you using the decals from the 1/25 or 1/16 car?
